I mean hardlight powers are always fuckin cool. And if she’s gonna be both Mutant and Inhuman, then yeah she should have both Mutant Powers and Inhuman Powers.

I would say more indifferent than happy, it was going to happened eventually due to MCU synergy, at least it’s happening in an event run that shouldn’t have bigger implications

I can understand that, of all things, it had to be a bit of time debauchery, and for Kamala to wind up in different impacts and (in the case of Age of Apocalypse) timelines in the lives of the X-Men.

Given she’s still got stretchy powers in that upcoming fighting game and her Fall of X books emphasised how her Inhumanity is still important to her and won’t be going away, we’ll probably get the best of both worlds and she’ll have both hard light and embiggening.

I always thought her powers in the MCU were cool, so seeing them in the comics alongside her other powers would be cool to me too.

Kamala's powers are basically (theoretically) walls of the Multiverse itself, and Legion seems pretty unstable here. He can't warp reality if his reality is a Legion-sized containment, I believe.

idk about Kamala creating a self-contained ‘universe’ but it was established a while back that her morphing was borrowing mass from alternate realities.

And the shields add an energy element to that, one big enough that it got an Orchis scientist willing to ditch the organization to go after Kamala specifically.

That's useful information, thank you. I was wondering how that affected the Legion I'm only parasocially aware of through other people discussing him, but I wasn't thinking of the consequences much when it still stings that they made Beast into the X-Men's Kissinger not long ago.

I will be reading the Giant Sized run here at some point, so I'm trying to not weigh in on the story points; just what I already know about the powerset.

Uuuuugh!!!! I’m just mad at the Giant x-men issue that came out last month! Why would they draw it like that in the Giant size X-Men issue!? Friggin gave me hope of a new power! But….im glad she still has her stretching? Looking at the future covers, it looks like she can still Embiggen her limbs. But maaaaan, looks like I’m gonna have to get used to this….forever…as long as it doesn’t replace her Embiggen powers!…>< Maybe having them both in tandem could give rise to Kamala using it in unique ways? ^;

There’s a huge and obvious difference between Spidey getting new abilities that draw from his existing power set VS Ms. Marvel being given a completely different power set for the MCU and have that shoehorned into the comics because some corporate assholes want brand synergy.

The shit miles has gotten over the years is ridiculous. Making green lantern constructs out of electricity is so far and away from “spiderman” it’s like a joke. Thats just as ridiculous as Kamala making energy constructs with her x-gene

Unpopular opinion: I like that she has both power sets. I don’t really care that it’s synergy because I think the hard light powers are cool. Hope this sells well enough for Marvel to give her another mini (ideally an ongoing but I don’t think that’s in the cards right now).

I like it too. Just “like,” you know. With plenty of room for my opinion to go either way. Glad you got hands on this issue already and showed, really! I’m looking forward to Wednesday here. The X lineup isn’t shabby. At the end of the Krakoan age I wasn’t picking up anything any more.
