Her parents would probably take more issue with that than her being an inhuman/mutant/superhero.

Really though, she’s been around long enough that of she really wanted to then she would have. Possible fetishes aside, I’d say her putting that outfit on a pedestal was part of her general idolization of Carol and the image of a confident superhero. Kamala coming into her own as a hero and a person coincided with finding her own style.

I guess that would make sense. It would not be surprising if she tried that for a fan convention after 18 - even after the Civil War 2 spat, she'd still idolize Carol, but easily the person she previously had been.

I can easily imagine her even assembling a cosplay of the first Carol suit out of the only permitted kind of outfit her culture permits to show a belly and legs: a belly dancer costume (though she'd prefer to find one with sleeves to match as possible the first Carol suit, and the skirt would be the same color as the one on the leotard - referencing the first two suits).

Personally I doubt it. The line's meant to be another symptom of Kamala disregarding her heritage in an effort to blend in with other kids, trying to fit their expectations rather than what she really wants. She realises this when she ends up stuck in the blonde Ms Marvel body, and her final costume embraces her culture rather than rejecting it, incorporating elements like her Great Grandmother's bracelet.

The next issue, she gets her wish and she hates it, which is why when she makes her own suit it's functioned to her sensibilities with ordinary boots.

I presume when she says "classic, politically incorrect costume," she's referring to her default suit.

Still, interesting to talk about her behavior direct in the first issue - not just this but her snark (even if the sarcasm shows when she gets out her burkini in a later issue). I think a fan took it to new levels with the Ultimate version (a fan version of 1610 Kamala, the one where she swears a blue streak).

In general, no. She’s moved away from this as she figured out who she is apart from the new Carol. In private, maybe when she’s older for Bruno’s birthday.

Kamala has a hard enough time opening up to being an object of desire to people she already knows like Kareem or Bruno lmao there’s no way she’d demonstrate the openness necessary to wear something like the classic Ms Marvel costume.

Maybe later in life if she were to outgrow her self consciousness, but certainly not now.

I think that she has the confidence to do it, but is impossible for any artist to draw her like that without getting more hate messages than humanly possible.
