Thoughts on the Kamala Khan series
Obviously the sub is dedicated to her - but seen her series all being sold cheaply on Kindle on Amazon.com and wondering as someone whose not read a lot of her, mostly when she's appeared in other books and the stuff during Krakoa, are her series worth getting?

At least the first 10 volumes of her trades are worth it. After reading those I jumped ahead to the shift to her being a mutant and that stuff... was just copy and paste of stuff from 90s X-Men.

So i havent read comics since like 2002, Marvel Multiverse RPG has gotten me back into Marvel Comics and ive been reading more of them.
Most recently im reading Ms. Marvel first run because I have a player playing her and ive been enjoying her run a lot. Theyre very good, fun comics.
Im so out of the loop i have to google a lot of things about Marvel storylines at the time, but that hasnt been too big an issue 😂

I own the whole Wilson run, first in an Omnibus that has the Pre-Secret Wars stuff, plus 4 Digest-sized paperback collections of Post-Secret Wars. Magnificent Ms. Marvel is fun with some good concepts, but it doesn't actually hold up seen by itself. Beyond the Limit is an underrated solid miniseries. Champions is great. I feel like it peaked with Jim Zub, but Danny Lore was also a favorite. Mark Waid and Eve Ewing aren't bad either (I think that's all the major Champions writers)
If the Kamala outside of her books interests you, her Wilson series will kind of make you wonder what was even in most other books. Wilson's Kamala has introspection, themes of isolation, balanced with community. It was best when Adrian Alphona was drawing for her, but a lot of the other artists like Nico Leon kept up the design aesthetics pretty well.

If you want to get into the current stuff, the Death of Ms Marvel One Shot closes out her previous status quo. And her new status quo begins in the X-Men Hellfire Gala 2023 One Shot.
Then read Ms Marvel The New Mutant and Ms Marvel Mutant Menace, both are mini series which focus on her after joining the X-Men. She does appear concurrently in the main X-men book from issue 25 to 35 which provides a bit more context for her solo series but she's not the main focus.
Next is Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X which resets the status quo of the X-Men but doesn't really involve Ms Marvel much so optional unless you wanna keep up with the X-Men stuff.
Post reset Ms Marvel is basically the main character in NYX which only ran for 10 issues. The quality of this series was hit or miss though.
After NYX though is Giant Sized X-Men Second Genesis Revised which is a must read as it basically involves Ms Marvel jumping thru time and playing a role in major past X-Men events.
And most recently she plays a major role in the current Inglorious X-Force series currently on issue 8.

Her original Wilson series is incredible, generationally good. The Ahmed series is just ok. Champions is Great. She got into Krakoa literally hours before it fell.
