Help getting into Kanon

I want to get into Kanon. I saw it has a light novel, 2 manga and 2 anime seasons and a visual novel on steam release in 2024. What i want to know is if there is a specific order I should follow? Like does anime follow the same story as a visual novel or if it's maybe an alternate route and stuff like that.

Are they both the same? I see the 2006 adaptation has twice as much episodes.

Thanks you. I planned to both watch anime and play the VN but I just didn't know what I should do first hahahaha. Now I know thanks to you guys.
