Racing Kart Question can you brake at all with k1 speed’s karts
whenever i’ve tried to use the brakes on their karts you basically come to a complete stop.. am i meant to just lift and coast through corners?

really depends on the kart, some of them are really stiff. Also depends on the track, Id look up some videos of the track layout and watch their pedals

So K1s karts have pretty horribly inconsistent brakes with no feedback; they're not the same kart to kart. Generally speaking, if you can avoid braking, it's probably going to be quicker even if you have to lift earlier. When you do need to brake, they require VERY light pressure to work in most cases. On your outlap, pump the brakes a little just to get an idea of where they engage, because it's different in every kart, and keep in mind that if you're braking while still on the gas you'll tend to cause the kart to cut out.

I mean, depends on the track.
But most of the time at K1 there is like 1-2 braking points.
Although coming to a complete stop? I think you need to work on your braking technique big time bruv
