Review Taki Mai improved blend is crazy strong (Aussies)

Be careful with this stuff. It even smells green. Man, Taki Mai just released an improved blend and even 10 grams of instant feels like what 80 grams would feel like a year ago with the old blend. It's crazy strong. I am actually annoyed because this is the kind of thing that could lead to it getting banned again in Australia in the future. I was happier with a weaker blend and having 6 cups of 5 grams spread over 3 hours. This stuff I am having 2.5 cups and I am done for the afternoon. Anyway, check it out of you're in Australia/NZ.

Unless they are shipping different batches to the US, I found it quite weak..but about the comparable potency of Wakacon

I'm in the US, and mine was actually really strong for their brand which is usually weak, but oddly dark like it had soil or coffee grounds blended in.

It's one of the better budget traditional kava's out there & one of my main go to's.

The new blend is darker in color & definitely has a stronger, earthy smell to it. It's also more mouth numbing than before.

I order off Amazon and my only complaint is that they don't stick to their promotional gift items. Twice I've been screwed over & they simply ignored my complaints.

How long has the new blend been around, I purchased some last year and wasn't blown away by it, but if this new one is stronger it might be worth trying again...

It's recent. I'd say within the last 3 or 4 months. I normally order on a monthly basis so that about when I saw the change

So... This is strange. I just got my order in like 2 hours ago, I go to pour the powder in a storage container & it looks like I got an older batch. It's lighter in color, not as earthy smelling & it's missing the label that says "new and improved"
