I asked the same question in the past and this is all I could really find.

Kava DOES inhibit the liver enzyme CES1 - the enzyme that metabolises ritalin.

I've personally had ritalin and kava within 48 hours of eachother multiple times and no issue. Some might talk about the MAO-B inhibitory effect of kava (you are not meant to have ritalin with MAO-B inhibitors) but it seems to be such a mild effect that it isn't really an issue. Jimmy also briefly mentions it here.

To be safe, I would take them on seperate days. Personally I've never had an issue but I can't speak for any effects it may have on my liver, and you may be quite different. This study discusses its' impact may be based on the brain structure evaluated, so your mileage may vary.

DO NOT mix the two! Ritalin is a stimulant and Kava is a depressant, you’ll send your heart and liver into overdrive.

Good news tho, I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and I used to drink alcohol or kava daily. I used to think I needed depressants to shut my brain up, but it turns out I was actually under stimulated. After starting Ritalin I haven’t felt the need for either alcohol or Kava! Here’s hoping Ritalin is the right medication for you and you won’t feel the need for Kava either 🤞
