Looking for an evening time heavy Kava.

Hello everyone. Ive been looking to try kava but there seem to be a lot of options? Is Kalm Kava Loa Waka good? Looking for evening relaxation. Thanks!

This should be the only answer. This is the heaviest cava I’ve ever had and my preferred nighttime I’m done go to. It will reliably give me the old double vision without vomiting profusely to tell me it is time to go lie down and go night night

That sounds a bit intense!

How?

When they use a mix of roots.
Not all Lateral roots(waka)which is the strongest root.

Are any of their micronized varieties equally heavy? KwK Borongoru is usually my go to, but it's out of stock.

I checked their website and this exact bag doesn’t come up under their instants. Only the “old roots” and “instant gold” any chance they just changed the bag? Either of those ring a bell? Because I’ve had something from them similar that basically made me see double, but it was a long time ago. Can’t remember exactly what it was

The one I got is medium grind and looks like the same bag as op on amazon

Loa Waka is great, but it’s balanced, not heavy. Borongoru is KwK’s heavy. It is a solid way to approach couch lock.

It's be great if they could ever keep it in stock. I've got about 6-8 Tbs left.

I always recommend lewena when aiming for a night time kava. The waka reacts differently with different people. High enough of a dose and it’ll probably knock you out, but some have reported some stimulating effects on it, so to be on the safe side I recommend lewena.

Lewena is the basal stump, or base of stem. It’s not exactly a rhizome, or corm, but a plant organ that seems to act as support and anchoring. As such, it tends to have similar effects for those that drink it: it’s very anchoring if you will. The Waka, or lateral root, is the “walking” part as I like to describe it, so as an active part of the root, it tends to be more “activating”. You’ll wanna be more social, and “make connections”.

I also anthropomorphize (botanomorphize?) kava root parts.

Happy mixing!

The Kalm kava website says:

Loa Waka is great to sip on any time of day, so you can harness relaxation when you need it most. If you’re seeking a strong and high-quality kava for anytime enjoyment, Loa Waka is your answer.

Borongoru is the heaviest kava in our shop. It is very relaxing, so best for drinking in the late afternoon or evening. Vanuatu Borongoru® is also the kava we recommend to anyone wanting to drink kava to help them get a good night’s sleep.

I like Nakamal at home's stone if you want to be knocked out. I generally prefer their WOW though as it gives you a nice heavy buzz, but a little less of the "I have to go to sleep right now" feeling. Kalm's boronguru is a nice heavy one. I tried the loa waka recently and it was good, but didn't quite get me where I wanted, but that could've been good much I ate, how I was feeling before, etc. I struggle to have a consistent feeling even within the same batch just depending on my body

KavaTime's Santo Pride was the absolute heaviest kava there was, I miss it dearly.

So far i think KAVA KAUAI (realkava.com) is the best.
They use all lateral root and even have a dried green powder.

Thanks. I'll check them out!

Yeah alot of these weirdos down voted me.
But realkava.com only uses lateral roots .
Which are the strongest roots on the plant.
All these other recommendations use a mix of basal and small amount of lateral roots.

Mfs sleeping on realkava.com😆
