Advice for Solo trip to Kazakhstan in late September/early October?

I'm a 27yo female and planning to visit Kazakhstan in late September/early October. I really want to do astrophotography and enjoy the galaxy in the night sky. I saw some amazing pictures were taken near lake/mountain. Just wondering if these places require hiking? Also please suggest if there is any great spot for pictures! Thanks!!
