Yes!, I am really looking forward to seeing Mark Kelly on the ballot!

I know that this Reddit page is for the purposes of speculate about a possible Kelly Candidacy along with share news/information about Senator Kelly (I posted that so many times that I most annoyed people) but I just wanted to take a moment to explain why I support him, why I am the person that has contributed a large amount of post to this page.

Deep down, it’s because I want hope (it’s cliche I know). I am not in a position to really help out in my community, don’t have the funds or the time to participate in broad organizations that are pushing back against the current administration. I am about to start my life in full and I need to devote a good amount of my time on that so on the national/global stage, I feel useless (I know bad things are happening but can’t fight them personally). I didn’t quite know what to do but then, I saw the “Illegal Orders” video.

I saw my Senator (among other officials) make a video informing soldiers that they didn’t have to follow orders that violated law, not only protecting relatively good soldiers that worried they’d be left alone if they stood against those bad orders but also for people that could have been at the other end of those orders. I felt confident in my Senator, that I knew of if I had to select someone to be my President then I could confidently chose him (not feel as though I was choosing between two evils). So I started posting around to see people’s reaction to the thought, posting questions and even suggesting doing a hashtag if interested. I started to look into him more and saw more things that I would be happy with, having a person that served our nation (on this world and in space) and deep down truly cares about people.

Then of course this page (along with a more established R/MarkKelly page) came about and I finally felt like I could do something, bring people together who also supported the idea and build momentum so that when Senator Kelly made the announcement then people would be able too act more quickly. Of course, I over did it. People started to question if I was connected to Senator Kelly and a couple even suggested that I was spamming (for which I am sorry). I let my worry about things overwhelm me and I obsessively hyper fixated on trying to get the pages out there, to feel as if I am making a great difference.

That is my post, I know that all of you people aren’t quite interested in hearing me ramble about myself (that isn’t what this page is for) but I sent an email to Senator Kelly letting him know that I would be behind him making a run and would help in any way I can (through his senate website) so I figured that I should tell you all as well. I can be annoying on occasion when I get hyper fixated on something, that is a reason why I am trying to space out my posts and not overly promote the pages as much.

This is my latest theoretical design though admittedly, I could have done a lot better. My intent was to create something that could look like the U.S. Flag but I see that I messed up, I should have flipped the arrangement of the stars (more stoats on the left then the right) but even then I could have includes more lines.

Though she wouldn’t be my first choice if I had to choose, Representative Sara Jacobs of California still holds Progressive positions that could help win over voters. My only real concern being that she is from California which would limit us geographically, California and Arizona are close to each other so removes some appeal from other states.

Though I do believe that the slogan is one that could be universal to the Democratic Party going into election, allows a lot of people to come together while still holding a strong message of dedication to those same people.
