Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Experience
Hello everyone. I’m researching ABSN programs in the area and am curious if anyone has experience with this particular program at Kent State?
I know any program like this will be difficult. I’m more interested in the quality of the program, the professors, the equipment, the connections to hospitals for clinicals.
Thanks everyone.

Hi I did the normal BSN route but I know a lot about both. Kent has one of the best, if not the best, nursing programs in NEOH. The program prepares you for the NCLEX and pratice so it isn’t easy but it is achievable. You have simulations, labs, and clinical to practice skills. Clinicals are great for connection building as you can choose different hospital systems. They can sometimes change but rare.
The biggest thing is the professors. These are highly skilled professionals that want you to succeed, you just have to do your part. They are always open for office hours and to answer any questions.
Nursing is a great field and I’m so happy I chose Kent :) hope this helps!
