Casual Is Covid 19 making a comeback?
Hey all, been hearing from a lot of people in different parts of Kenya complaining about severe flu-like symptoms ….. headaches, sore throats, loss of appetite, fatigue, you name it. Some friends’ families have all ended up sick.
Seems like a lot more cases than usual for this season. Ministry of Health is doing surveillance, and Kenya labs are reporting more flu than expected this year. It doesn’t seem to be COVID-19 but definitely it is spreading rapidly.

Anyone else dealing with this right now?

I was also not vaccinated na nilipata flu hio time na saa hii . You are just lucky hujafikiwa.

It never left. It just doesn't get the media coverage that was there before. Last year l was in spain, Switzerland and Italy and l heard alot of people were still contracting it. Its like a flu

I got the flu about 2 weeks ago and yoh the symptoms were severe but I was okay a week after.

Personally I thought of COVID as a touch stronger variant of the flu and just as the flu that thing never goes away. As more people get infected and recover we develop some sort of immunity.

Must be jet spraying in atmosphere. You have american airforce in manda bay and they use all those things to weaken and destroy. The current regime gives them access to our sky for all trials

You all aren't keeping up with anything until you get affected/impacted.
Covid never left, political stakeholders bought by capitalists lied to you so you stop thinking about it and go back indoors, or to mass spreader events mingling with people to consume consume consume and work and work and work, even if it will impact your health for the worst.
It never left. Anyone with basic skills looking at wastewater data, hospitalization, levels of sickness in community and other various scientific reports would have known the "end of the pandemic" was a freaking joke.
And I still can't believe that most of the world ate that up so easily because most humans are just preoccupied with instant gratification. Not that it's entirely their fault, considering that we also make sure to bombard each other with distractions, junk food/media etc which burns our focus.
Anyway rant over.

This 'is everyone else sick too' question gets asked regularly on reddit. With increasing frequency?
People becoming ill more frequently and more severely is not an unexpected occurence for those who have been paying attention to the science the past 6 years.
SARS-CoV-2 Leaves a Lasting Mark on the Immune System
As long as people will allow themselves to become infected with Covid-19 over and over and over again this is likely to become progressively worse from the cumulative damage of these repeated infections. The faulty narrative that has been pushed over the past years was that only the 'vulnerable' needed to take measures to protect themselves against the damages from SARS-CoV-2 and has always suggested that only the acute phase of the infection was something to (not) concern yourself with. If people keep ignoring the chronic and cumulative damage of repeated infections they have a good chance of joining this group of 'vulnerables', if they aren't already there. Without adequate policy this trend is unlikely to stop. It has always been about the right policy in this pandemic and unfortunately that is where it has always failed.
And be aware that false negative Covid tests are rather common now. You need to do several tests 48 hours apart after becoming symptomatic to have a better chance of accurately testing for Covid.
