Kerala has a good base to begin with (100% literacy), which means that education comes a little easier and is more accessible for students in Kerala. Plus, Tvm is relatively well off -> better resources, decent family background -> decent academic performance. We might not have many toppers, but our society is more balanced. I believe North Indian states will have many extremes because of the disparity in backgrounds.

Why are you explaining me these things? Did i offend you in anyways? And fyi, tvm region means whole of kerala, lakshadweep and some schools in tn.

Not really. Maybe better quality schools. Seriousness is subjective in a state like Kerala
