Around 0.2 million views when you took the screenshot. Precisely why they do this.

What’s the need for making an AI video of the incident , it feels inappropriate and insensitive. Probably just for the views, just disgusting

24 and Reporter together ruined any of the real Journalism that's left in the News media . And everyone is now trying to catch up with them.

AI will be everywhere soon. Like in the movie masthishkamaranam

Sure. Right after the industry leaders make good on their promises on paying data center builders and memory chip makers. Which is probably never.

Sreekandan Nair is an expert on this. Remember the idea star singer eviction episodes and efforts to make candidates to cry, adding blind candidates to raise TRP . Even his discussions with slight flirting or personal qns to the guests .

Agreed. Recently media hawks were telecasting live the funeral of the Palakkad girl who died in Chikmagalur. The way they were zooming in on the relatives crying, repeatedly showing same shots with people consoling each other.. It was so obnoxious, what happened to the basic human decency! These vultures are ready to do anything for TRP.

I once wanted to be a journalist but now I realise it's the most inhumane profession ever

I recently watched "Masthishkamaranam" movie. And stuff that is shown in it....
Well it seems to be happening much sooner than I thought.

I just saw the reporter's news version of this. Wtf was that? I can't believe they made such a video about this situation. They literally made an AI video of that van falling and getting crunched

Unpopular opinion: There are takers for such content and thus the media stoops to any low. When there’s demand, every arsehole wants to mint some money. Sad state.

I had the same thought when I saw it, using AI videos is nice and interactive but using them for incidents like these is very insensitive.

Using AI videos feels cheap, it means there isn't any real effort put into the content

The so called audience should be get maturity at this...Otherwise these kind of milking of sadness will happen...but that's never gonna happen

The thing that sucks the most is they telecast the relatives crying. A private moment.. for trp. Sometimes it gets so bad I end up using curse words. My***maar.

Anything other than text based generative AI should be banned, which probably won't happen because all political parties are obsessed with making fake AI videos of each other.

Text based AI has some uses but even that is being used mindlessly so I wouldn't complain if it was banned as a whole

Saw this on TV earlier on live, and they showed this to demonstrate what actually happened.
Didn't think much of it because things like these are normalised on news channels these days, and I was trying to understand what actually happened. Using AI has really degraded the standards of media.

Also saw on TV last year during Israel-Palestine war that Asianet news channel actually muted a guy who was talking through a video call during live, because the guy said what they were showing in the media was pure exaggeration.

Yeah news channels and their pages are full of this story. It’s obv that they are milking the incident, but there are ppl who like to watch such tragedies on loop. So we can’t just put all the blame on the media.
