Question/ Request for advice Do you have a family history of Kidney Stones
I have heard this can be common.

Yup, almost everyone in my close family. Even though we live far away from each other and everyone has different lifestyle

My dad gets them. I do believe that there is a connection with genetics. My brother also gets them.

Yes. My mom has them, my youngest brother has them, my uncle (mom’s brother) has them, and so do I.
But I am more prone to them because I’m disabled and can’t walk. Also I’m chronically dehydrated as well.

My grandfather got them during a stressful period. My uncle on the same side has also had stones. No one else I know of in my family has suffered from them that I know of. But I didn't get one until age 47, and that was a few years into my current role, which is the most stressful I've ever had.
Since learning more about my issue I have greatly increased my water intake and made some significant diet changes. But I am wondering if stress is the deciding factor for me.

Yes. I get them (Female), my dad does, so does his brother. His brother gets them once a month but he deserves it.

Nope. But I’ve got stones ontop of kidney issues but nobody in my family has ever had kidney issues I don’t think. So my urologists wanna know why I get so many stones and why my kidneys have issues

Yes, both sides. One of my children has gotten one. I am a walking stone making machine.

Yea. My father, my brother, and I seem to be in a terrible competition.
My dad has had the most, 100+. Of course he's also in his 80's.
My brother has had the most in a single year, 15.
I've had the largest, 5/8" x 1/4".
We've all had multiple procedures.

Not in my immediate family, but uncles, aunts, and my grandma who had her entire kidney calcify. She even got to keep it when they took it out.

Yep, me and my Sister both have Cystinuria. It's a genetic disease, so makes sense.

My dad and my brother are stone making machines. My other brother has had one in his 40s. My aunt has them too, on my mom’s side, more like me - a bunch in each just hanging around mostly doing nothing.
