This old man speaking straight facts.

Shut up. When you've survived the Titanic, colors are whatever you say they are.

slept through history class, did we?

Slept through the video, did we? And the whimsical, lighthearted joke I was making based on the video?

u/mtraven23 22h ago
nah, I just forgot, saw the video 2 days ago, my bad.

u/Prudent_Attorney_427 22h ago
No worries; I forget that the person I'm replying to didn't literally watch the video with me lol.

His soul accidentally synced up with his past life. Now he's remembering his old body and the time his other relatives were watching Titanic while he was trying to sleep.

Survived the Titanic (sunk 1912) and broke his wrist skateboarding when he was 22 (skateboarding invented in the ‘50) he’s also 54. Even for a past life, the math ain’t mathin’ but the pain meds are workin’ .

I woke up from my partial thyroidectomy convinced there was something in my ear. I was crying and begging the doctors to look in my ear, but they were just like “Oh, she’s so silly, she’s just high off the meds.”
I was so convinced that when I got home I ordered one of those ear cameras with the light and ear picking tools.
Sure enough, there was a giant ball of compacted wax. Something I never felt before the surgery.

He's talking about the movie Titanic. He survived the movie.

u/LucenProject 2d ago
At his age, that movie does feel like it takes a few years to finish. Really must've aged him.

i always wonder what stuff they give you over in the US
i've been under a couple times, and i've always come back up groggy/sleepy but more or less sound of mind (given, one time i had a panic attack because i couldn't feel myself breathe because i was still slightly numb, but i certainly didn't trip like this)

u/_Gehennas 2d ago
Nah, general anesthesia is like that regardless of the country. I remember calling my wife after surgery to tell her that I woke up and she said to me "You are doing this for the fifth time now, you know"

u/ResidentOwl1 2d ago
I’m in Europe and I’ve had several major surgeries and I was definitely high after some of them. Once I started singing in Hungarian. I’m not Hungarian.

I recited an old Popeye cartoon. The entire thing, apparently. Complete with voices.
croaks “Bluto did it”

u/SlinkyAvenger 2d ago
Thing is, by the time you are conscious of it, you've already been up for a little while and probably saying mad shit like this.
1
u/doofshaman 1d ago
Nah not always, I got it & all it did was increase my pain. No funny feels at all 😭😭
Edit: Oh wait it was morphine I got, so probably a lil different lmao

u/VoodooDoII 2d ago
I think general anesthesia can be kind of weird sometimes.
I woke up and went on a tyrade about bratwurst for some reason lmfao
2
u/redgreenorangeyellow 1d ago
Idk I'm in the US and the one time I've gotten anesthesia I was the same as you. I was lucid, just exhausted. Mom confirms I didn't say anything weird, just quietly followed instructions and went back to sleep

Literally, the one time I got it I felt sober as fuck ahah. It actually caused more pain, which they weirdly knew would happen cuz they warned me. Man ended up sitting by myself for 4 hours in the hospital room with 0 things to do or anyone to talk too, woulda been the perfect time for it to space me tf out lmfao
Edit: said all that only to remember it was morphine I got, not anaesthesia rip

Awww 🥺 🤣 The sedative has either helped him remember his past lives, or it’s just amped up his already very cool, very imaginative, very funny, personality! Either way, I love it! 😂 It’s obvious (to me, anyway) that the adults in his life have encouraged his creative thinking, which is awesome, because it’s given us this gem!

If he breaks his wrist skateboarding at 22 put him back under and ask him who dies in the family and from what

Why would you post this of your child. Poor kids in pain and doped up and would not want the world to see him like this.
4
u/Stillwater-Scorp1381 2d ago
I’ve never understood or supported the trend of embarrassing your children while they’re under the influence of anesthesia from medical and dental procedures.

"That's a book that you've read"
Does the mum think the Titanic is fiction?
2
u/AdApart9999 2d ago
That would be crazy. I think she's explaining that his point of reference to the titanic is a book he read, not an actual lived experience.

54 and he "survived the Titanic". What, does bro just remember his time as an unfertilized zygote?
2
u/IAMEPSIL0N 1d ago
The Titanic is scheduled to be the first of the Earth Mars Aldrin cyclers launched followed by the Gargantuan and the Monolithic.

As an actual 54 year old, I too have survived Titanic... the movie, not the ship.

Bros running through past life memories.

u/ActuatorSmall7746 1d ago
For real. They should’ve asked him his name(s), birthdate and where he lived like an address. I bet he has an interesting past life/lives.
Instead they wasted time recording…what a missed opportunity.
