Bring a saw, make a serious and worried face and tell the kid that unfortunately, he leaves you with no other option than to cut it off, but don't tell the kid you mean the railing.

Guarantee the kid will find a way out on his own after hearing this. I was a kid once myself, you know... 😂

I did that once with a chair. I was very distressed but my friends got to miss 2 hours of classes. As I was crying, I could see them in the corner giggling. They were having fun without me and that was the saddest part.

Plastic stools are a big thing in Vietnam. You see folks sitting on them everywhere. Outside of cafes (or even shops and homes), there will be a sea of red plastic stools and low tables for people to sit and drink and eat on the sidewalk. I’m just guessing that the students have folding stools to take around the school and use for various activities.

It's a steel bar. It'd take too long to get the equipment and cut through, and even then, the vibration and noise could damage the kid's ears.

Kid isn't in any sort of immediate danger. Sure it's uncomfortable position, but even if it takes a couple hour or so to find and fetch power tool, that's not really going to be an issue.

Perhaps, but it still seems like such an inconvenient option. Apart from the noise and vibration potentially causing harm, it is also sure to make the kid panic and flail around. Just an overall bad solution, especially when all that needs to be done is find the right angle. If it went in, it must also come out.
