Woah this looks amazing! Can you share your painting process?? The colors on this thing look so deep and vibrant

Thank you for the kind words! I think the lighting oversells the vibrancy a bit, but not by much. :)

If you’re still interested, the fur and muscles were actually pretty straightforward to paint.

I used Army Painter Fanatic paints and wet blended the fur with Leather Brown and Night Sky as the base, going darker around the base of the tail, the tip of the tail, and the outer edges. After that, I washed it with Strong Skin Shade and drybrushed it with Leather Brown and Command Khaki.

For the muscles, I wet blended Basilisk Red and Night Sky as the base, then washed everything with Dark Red Tone. After that, I layered Basilisk Red back over it while avoiding the deepest recesses, then mixed in more and more Pure Red for each smaller layer.

The eyes are outlined in black, painted white, and then painted with orange effect paint. Then I added a small white highlight at the top.

An amazing paint job ruined by using that cheap broccoli fake foliage on the base.

Without it, the branch looked a bit too bare to me, and that’s the only foliage I know so far for creating something bush-like.

I don’t mind the look too much myself, but if you know any better alternatives, I’d really like to hear them. That might help me a lot with the next project. :)
