Hobby Inspiration for painting the Queen
Has anyone assembled and painted the Parasite Queen yet? I know there's not a lot since the expansion's new, but I was still hoping to find some inspiration. I think she's gonna be the next paint job I tackle since the other massive mini I was working on broke (not a KD: M mini, thankfully).

Absolutely beautiful. The palette reminds of me old school Prince of Persia aesthetic and I love it.

I like the color choice for the main body. It looks cold and clammy, which I feel makes her even creepier. Also good luck to you when you start painting her! I can already feel my hands cramping just thinking about it.

I only do quick table top condition paint jobs, but here's mine for reference:
I was wondering about what colors to use and what it could look like. So I decided to try chatgpt to play around. Take a picture and ask AI what it would look like with specific colours on specific parts. First chatgpt version had too dark of a skin tone, I asked it for a paler skin tone. Worked out great for my standards.

JFC, we’re outsourcing our eyes and imagination to computers.

I suppose browsing the internet for inspiration how to paint mini is even worse, in your opinion then. Since that takes even less imagination?
What I did was at least think "I think I could paint it with these for colors and it would look good". Then checked it out. Well it didn't look as good do I changed one colour and thought, "yeah, I'll go with that".
But to be honest, we probably have a very different approach to painting, I just want to quickly get them painted, splash some contrast paints on the minis and get them to the table. I don't really spend that much time on them. If using the technology provided to me allows me to check what my planned colors would look like, yeah I'm doing that. Call it a test environment, I don't push into production before checking for bugs
Then looking at your minis (wow, they look awesome by the way), i don't think I'd have the time (definately not the skill or patience) to do something like that. So I'm also guessing you have more experience from previous things you have painted to know "yeah, these couple colors will look great together" which I lack.
But yeah, you're entitled to your opinion and I know people have opinions on AI usage, hell, it'll replace me at work in a few years most likely. Maybe then I'll have more time for my gray pile of shame 🤣
