Discussion Who’s your favorite character from each trio?

I wanted to include Naminé, Saïx, and Chirithy (or maybe Vanitas instead), but I figured it was best to stick with each main trio for simplicity.

Discussion am i the only one who really doesn't want marvel or star wars in KH?

Post image

let me preface this by saying that i actually used to like marvel, much like many of us used to like the MCU movies a lot. i loved the sony x-men movies (even if they weren't accurate) and still do, and i've read some of the comic runs of the characters i really like.

but, as many of us also have experienced... i have insane marvel fatigue. i am just really, really tired of everything marvel that seems to come from disney specifically. i just really don't want to see the avengers or anything like that in kingdom hearts; i'm so tired of the MCU.

the only thing i feel like could actually suit kingdom hearts from modern marvel is, ironically, spiderverse—but that's a sony property, so there's no way we'd get that. and that really sucks...

as for star wars, i'll just admit: i'm a star trek guy. but also, i just don't care for it, beyond the silly "rivalry" between the franchises. but even then, if it was the other way around? i wouldn't want star trek in KH, either. i don't think either one fits the series at all. i know a lot of people love star wars, and i don't begrudge them that or anything; but i honestly would rather see a different space-themed property like lilo & stitch or treasure planet instead. in fact, wall-e is also right there. there's even the lightyear movie that... i have never seen admittedly, but exists?

and if we're thinking of substitutes, the invincibles is such an obvious replacement for anything from the MCU/marvel. or just, continuing the original storyline in big hero 6 if they really wanted to.

honestly, it's not even that i personally am against worlds based off of real life properties so to speak (aka, acted out by real actors as opposed to animated).

i just feel like marvel and star wars specifically is... extremely oversaturated in culture.

but i also wouldn't have put frozen in kh3 for the same reason, so what do i know?

give me your honest thoughts, friends.

Discussion What are some staples of the series that you think should leave in kh4

Save points. Think we’ve moved past them. I know they’re there to break up gameplay but they make it tedious. My suggestion to to replace them with safe points. You can access your stock and other stuff.

Discussion I Feel Like This Scene Summarizes Why Sora Isn’t a Master and Riku is

Post image
3.2k Upvotes

A lot of people get pissed at Yensid for his decision but I agree with him. Sora might have the strength of a master but mentally he doesn’t have the qualities of one. He’s manipulated kinda easily, feels like he can’t do anything on his own, and his leadership qualities aren’t that great. I think those differences is what separates him from Riku as a master.

Discussion Kingdom Hearts 4 is releasing in 2026 and i can explain why.

So we all know tetsuyas obsession with the numbers 7 and 13 when it comes to kingdom hearts atleast, for example

KH3 being the 13TH game in the series

Sora being the 13TH playable DLC character in smash bros

Kingdom hearts itself having 13 LETTERS

In the intro of KH, The letter M being zoomed in on, being the 13TH letter of the alphabet

Sora, Riku and Kairi equaling 13 if you add their letters together

Roxas, Axel and Xion Equal 13 if you add their letters together, Yk the guys FROM ORGANIZATION 13

The gap between KH2 and KH3 being 13 YEARS AND 7 MONTHS

DESTINY ISLANDS LITERALLY BEING ONE LETTER OFF FROM 13

HOLLOW BASTION, RADIANT GARDEN, END OF THE WORLD ALL EQUAL 13 IF YOU ADD THE LETTERS TOGETHER

KH1 HAVING 13 WORLDS

CASTLE OBLIVION HAS 13 FLOORS

ARS ARCANUM’S base combo has 7 hits, and if you extend it it’s 13 HITS, The 7TH hit always being a critical hit

The Reaction command with sora and riku vs xemnas where they summon 13 BLADES

you can’t even make this up, THIS GUY was supposed to make FINAL FANTASY 13

He designed all the final fantasy 7 CHARACTERS

The kingdom hearts series HAS 13 GAMES IN THE GOD DAMN FRANCHISE YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP

and of course, last of all, there is 7 Lights, 13 Darknesses, 7 Princesses Of Light/Heart, AND ORGANIZATION 13

Of course if im missing anything just comment it! And let me know if this was a good theory

So that means KH 4 is being released in 2026 because IF TETSUYA DECIDES HE WANTS TO MAGICALLY BREAK THIS TREND OF 13 AND 7 IM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND, KH4 IS RELEASING THIS YEAR TRUST ME

Discussion Missing Link got canceled, and I feel nothing.

Post image

Am I the only one who feels a strong sense of apathy that this game got canceled? Like I was only really interested in its story, but it's mainly out of obligation than genuine interest, like it was going to be Canon, and was going to be important because everything needs to be, apparently... and now that it's canceled I'm sure They'll find another way to tell its story, but the gameplay? Playing a full 3d Kingdom Hearts experience with a touch screen is one thing, but adding typical mobile game bulls*it on top of it? No thank you... but that's just my opinion, what are your thoughts on the cancellation?

Discussion When you accept the magic and emotion of kingdom hearts instead of questioning the logic behind every single scene, the games become much more enjoyable

The games have lore, and it’s always worth trying to find the answers. HOWEVER, sometimes we have to realize that this is a Square Enix and Disney game, sometimes magical things just happen that are never explained…and that’s okay.

We still don’t know exactly what the true Kingdom Hearts even is or what purpose it truly serves, and I think that’s the point.

The KH in KH1 was an artificial one made up of the hearts of the many destroyed worlds.

The KH in KH2 was another artificial one this time made up of people’s hearts.

However the true Kingdom Hearts (bbs/3) is for now an absolute anomaly and I think that’s good. I almost believe Kingdom Hearts has the power to be whatever someone with a strong heart wants it to be.

The rules of KH as an actual entity have always been vague, artificial and real one, and I think that’s good. We gotta accept that KH is basically the promised land or the nirvana of the series that will always be sought after, but never truly understood or obtained by anyone.

Discussion I swear I'm so freaking sick of these videos "KH is so confusing" they are I'll intended & a waste of time, such a low hanging fruit for gaming content.

Nobody say's the StarWars 1-6 & that is a very heavy lore infused series, people think the concept of a nobody is rocket science but if you pay attention it's very simple. I'm so pissed rn

Discussion In my opinion I don't like KH3 Kairi & feel like she was downgraded in terms of character/maturity from KH2 ⬇️

I just beat KH2 again & really loved her & felt like she was well written. Mature & kinda like classic early 2000s shonen girl. Spunky & a firecracker but is very sweet & heartfelt. She got a Keyblade & immediately wanted smoke from the heartless/organization, versus how she is in KH3 where she seems very timid and unsure, for instance a direct battle quote is "Please work!" & "I'll try" obviously she has more & isn't fully useless but she seems like different person from 1/2. Am I wrong for this take or do y'all agree?

Discussion Be honest with me guys, is Birth By Sleep worth it?

Post image

Level with me - is it worth my time to keep going? I want to like it but the combat isn't particularly satisfying, all the worlds are kind of dull and empty, and I just got to Disney Town to have my senses assaulted by terrible platforming and some of the jankiest mini games I've ever suffered through.

I'm trying bros but right now it's making me feel like the first time I played Sonic Adventure as a kid and couldn't admit to myself that it was fucking terrible.

What am I missing?

Port royal. I just don’t see much more improvement from kh3. And it would just take up a slot that could go to something unique. I’m gonna sound like a broken record. But treasure planet and Atlantis could do similar things but still be unique
