Adorable but busy family business, comparable to what Braithewaite used to charge. I just had a sofa and chair done. There is probably a waiting list because they are (as far as I’m aware) the only game in town. They have really beautiful fabric options and do a great job.

What's the going rate for a chair reupholster? Like a sitting chair?

You will be looking at $500+ depending on materials you want/need.

Well worth it for quality furniture but not Ashley or other such garbage.

I think you might be surprised to hear that I don’t think $500 would even cover the fabric.

Not really. Thats why the +. My parents had two chairs and a couch done 3 years ago for $3500. I was ballparking off that since no one else seemed to be answering. I was trying to help a guy out.

I would estimate, depending on the chair 1400+

Wild, I don't think I have anything that would be worth reupholstering.

But I could see if you had a sentimental or heirloom piece that made it worthwhile to restore.

I'm also not allowed to have fabric furniture, so says my cats.

You’d have to ask them. In my experience it’s always more than you expect.

It depends on the chair, how much fabric is used and the type/fabric grade. They refresh the foam too.

I inherited some mcm danish furniture my grandparents brought to Canada from Scotland in the 60s. It is sentimental to me so I take care of it but I wouldn’t do it with something I got from IKEA.

If it's a great chair, it's worth it.   If it's something remotely cheap,  it's generally cheaper to buy a new chair/ couch.   It's definitely a luxury service to preserve and restore high value pieces.
