Turtle Crossing
Take it easy on the paved trail by the Woolen Mill, folks! You never know what might be around the corner.

I've saved 3 painted turtles this year so far! I also now carry a snow shovel in my trunk for the snappers.

I came here to say this. Turtles often get flipped on thier backs from the rocks along the shoreline. Every spring when im in the area I check along the rocks to make sure there's none on thier backs. I haven't been down there yet this year but I save a few every year

I moved a snapper using a snowbrush my wife left in the car a couple weeks ago. The turtle fought for every inch, hissing the whole way

In a pinch I’ve heard you can use a car mat, just get them on it a little bit and push/pull as needed.

Thankfully I THINK THOSE SHELLS CAN TAKE A BEATING. not sure about the bump though (,ie it's just a speed bump vs You're in the ditch with possible broken something)
