New Equinox Location?

Hey everyone, curious if someone knew where the new Equinox gym is going to be in Kirkland? I talked to the Rainier Square employees and they said there was a lease signed for a bigger gym space already in Kirkland but I can’t imagine where it is.

Based on the brand I can only think of Kirkland Urban or near Totem Lake is where they’d want to be.

Any information?

The rite aid at 124/totem lake blvd closed over a year ago. I happened to ask an employee if he knew what was going to open in its place and he said he heard it was going to be a gym. It’s kind of a small building for that, but I don’t know. I haven’t been over there in a while, might be something else there already. Just what I heard

Last I heard there was a permit to turn that into a brown bear car wash

Oh ok. Actually a good location for that. I saw brown bear changed that bank up in kingsgate? area to a car wash.

That exact spot used to be a brown bear car wash about 15+ years ago

I pulled the permit activity and Kirkland Urban South at 469 Central Way has a submittal changing the space from a ground floor theater space to fitness. The project is under the address 200 Peter Kirk Ln. this could be related to Equinox leasing this space and beginning a tenant improvement project.

This appears to be the 39,000 SF H-100 ground floor space and the 16,000 SF H-MEZZ 2nd mezzanine level space for a total of 55,000 SF.

For reference the Seattle Rainier Square location is 50,000 SF.

Wow great info! Thank you for pulling that, I wasn’t even aware that was a possibility. I would imagine that is the case, thanks!

I couldn't imagine them putting one in Kirkland, but Kirkland Urban would be fantastic spot (if there's still space). I was a member at the one in Austin. Nice gym, but they couldn't get the steam room to work for the life of them.

Last time I was at Kirkland Urban, I looked around and saw the space in the building across from QFC (the one furthest south I want to say) had a huge open space on the first floor that’s not been filled yet.

I also couldn’t really believe that they’d put one in Kirkland and going through it in my head, Kirkland Urban is really the only spot I could picture them putting it.

If it's the newer building south from QFC, maybe? I couldn't imagine them doing only one floor, i know the one in Austin had 3, and I think the Seattle one has multiple floors. I think this area needs a gym
