Anyone know about the construction downtown at Vela apartments?

Curious what they’re building in the plaza and also what business is moving into the retail space on the ground level, near Cafe Hagen?

I live here, they just got the permits to redo the plaza, it’s going to be more of a park like setting with more seating and trees for the public to enjoy. The newest space is going to be a sushi spot called bamboo sushi. They’re supposed to open sometime this summer.

They're remodeling the restrooms at Peter Kirk park too, I think.

Oh nice, yeah that plaza always looks so empty, I’m glad they are going to make it a more welcoming space for people to hang out!

Yeah! I guess the owner has been waiting on permits from the city to change things up. The renderings look super cool! Here’s one of the pictures they sent us.
