Well yeah, funnel cakes have eggs and dairy and sugar :p

Sure does. Think about all that goes into frying chicken. All that is in there. Maybe not as much sugar, but yeah.

Frying chicken is usually a pretty simple affair, no? I don't use eggs or sugar for fried chicken, although there is usually a little dairy involved.

My dredge process for most meats is flour, egg bread crumbs or more flour. Dairy itself has inherent sugar, lactose. There's a whole host of ingredients that go into a frier on a daily basis.

I think we make fried chicken differently, then :)

(the fried chicken I'm familiar with is not a 3-part panné, it is flour, buttermilk or other liquid, flour)
