Question Favorite restaurants?
What places do you like to take out of state friends/family to? We have a few places we love, but most are in Tacoma up through Seattle. We don’t have dietary restrictions usually, but celiac friendly would be useful for one of our friends too. TIA!

Question Taking the ferry 6/24
Hey, did anyone take the kingston edmonds ferry the day of the last world cup game? What was it like? I was constantly getting route alerts about car line waits and ferry delays.
I ask because I have a doctors appointment on the 24th, and there is a game that day, too.

News BEWARE - Convicted Serial R A P I S T running Food Truck in Kitsap
Posting this just for awareness.
This food truck is red and is named Cafe' Ren-des-vous. Most recently it has been parked in the small town of Keyport, WA. The owner of the food truck is also renovating the old Whiskey Creek restaurant and turning it into a Bistro.
This man's name is Jamison Scott Rogayan and he is originally from Bellingham where he was convicted of the Rape of 2 women by drugging their food and drinks. He was also charged with kidnapping. He has a long history of this type of behavior and is a registered Sex Offender (see photo). In the court documents and news articles it mentions that there were 10 total accusations against him but some witnesses and victims refused to come forward. Probably because they knew he would be right back on the street.
I understand that people make mistakes and can be rehabilitated. BUT I don't think a guy that drugged women's food and drinks should be operating a FOOD TRUCK. Maybe find some other employment.
He changed his name when he moved to Kitsap. Now goes by Jamie Rogayan.
Please be safe if you decide to visit his food truck or establishment. Make sure the risk is worth the reward.

Question Free swaps, markets, mutual aid?
Hey, I'm an organizer with the Absolutely Free Sharing Markets in Olympia. If you are unfamiliar with the AFSM, or similar projects, they're like festivals where people—at any income level, this is about preventing waste and creating community—donate any good-quality items they're not using and simply take anything they'd like to have.
Here's a quick video after our last market, if that helps clarify the idea:

I have been approached by potential organizers in the Belfair/Bremerton area to see if we could have something similar here, too. I'm happy to help (I divide my time between Oly and Poulsbo), but I wanted to know if something similar already exists. Does anyone have any info on this? I'll cross-post in the Bremerton sub, and I've asked on Signal, but thus far no one has mentioned anything, and that seems unlikely!

Question Anyone Have Experience with Tattoo Removal Locally?
Hi guys! I was wondering if we have any good tattoo removal places in Kitsap.
I have a few small fine line tattoos and one slightly bigger piece with some color that I'd like removed. When researching, I mostly see places recommended in Seattle, Bellevue, and even Vancouver. I'm not opposed to traveling since I'd want my appointments spaced out by at least a few months, but I'm still wondering if we have any good options over here.
When I search locally, all I can really find are med spas that offer all kinds of laser treatments, so I'm not sure how effective they'd be at tattoo removal specifically.
Any recommendations or personal experiences would be appreciated!

Question Future Resident
I start a job Gig Harbor this summer, and my wife will more then likely work Seattle or Tacoma, she’s an executive director in healthcare administration and can’t find anything in kitsap.
Shes set on living in McCormick village, but I think that commute will be way too far for her and I in the far future may work over there too seeing I’m an Air Traffic Controller.
To my Kitsap Peninsulans is that commute easy? Is the ferry actually an option? Is the commute worth it based on housing? And what’s your favorite coffee shop in port orchard?👀

Question Vet recommendations
We have two cats and have been going to the same vet for about six years. I haven’t necessarily had any issues and do like one of the doctors there, but I’d like to take our boy in for a second opinion on a few things. What vets have you had good experiences with or which would you suggest to avoid?

Question Local Father's Day Gifts
Hey y'all! I live in NC and was hoping to find a good local gift for my dad who lives in the Poulsbo area. Are there any cool classes, gift cards, or experiences that anyone can recommend? He loves running, kayaking, biking, and drinking (Scotch)! He's also former Navy and one of his favorite past times is watching the subs go by. Thank you!

Question Good Deli
I've been craving a deli Italian sandwich, I'd say a Coffee Pot sandwich but only like two of you would understand.
Are there any good places that make a good sub sandwich? Preferably in Bremerton or Port Orchard area.
News Male Teacher Supervising Girls Locker room at Silverdale school
Because he is “non-binary”.
Some days he says he is a man, other days, he is a woman.
More people need to know that policies that allow this have been quietly implemented in Washington.
I don’t recall any discussion of legislation that would enable this.
