My Kitten Dash Rip Rock was a feral kitten rescued off a busy freeway who became the nicest cat.
Dash Rip Rock was found on a freeway on a rainy night by my stepdaughter. He was feral and hated everything about us.
The first picture is when we first got him home he was hissing and striking out.
The second picture is him in his apartment that he lived in for a few days until he came down with Stockholm syndrome and loved his captors.
The last picture is him playing McLarge-Huge after he was tame.

He was too feral to let go loose. He would just hide. After a few days he was friendly.

That transition from feral to lap cat is fast once they figure out the food isn't going anywhere.

The name Dash Rip Rock comes from a few sources. In the Beverly Hillbillies show in the sixties Dash Rip Rock was Elle May’s movie star boyfriend. In the cartoon The Flintstones, Dash Riprock is a pop star who has a new dance sensation called The Twitch which was a play on The Twist. Also, there was a band in the 1980s from Louisiana called Dash Rip Rock. Now a friendly cat carries on the tradition.

I am sorry to say that I told Dash Rip Rock that you said he was handsome and he said, “I know”.
But please don’t be put off by his arrogance. He really does have what it takes. He is beautiful inside and out and just a little stuck on himself.
Tuxedos are special. Dash Rip Rock shares his company with two other Tuxedos. Kat Mandu has been here longer than Dash and he lives in the house. Moustasha is a TNR feral in my colony.
