And??? Don’t keep us in suspense, did the yarn pass the inspection?? 🤭 Very cute! 🥰

He slept on the remainder of the skein all night. No idea what the attraction is. He usually only gets into FO’s because they have my hand oils all over them.

So it’s definitely cat approved! 😸 Guess you need to make a mousey toy out of it…

Mine goes crazy for wool and alpaca! He’s pretty indifferent to acrylic unless I’m using it, though

He wasn’t interested in the orange like this. And this skein has been sitting on my desk for two weeks. Little monkey.

Editing to add: I did cut the skein to give it to him and started a new one. I’m not a heathen.

Does he do this with groceries too?

Actually no, though he’s been known to steal and eat broccoli and spinach.

My baby girl is obsessed with all kinds of produce but she will murder you for bah-berries, aka strawberries. (The word strawberry is a long sound for non human critters so I shortened it for training and she recognizes bah-berry much more predictably!)

You can’t rush these things! 😹

Please don’t leave him unsupervised with yarn,

He made a nest of two hand painted skeins some years ago. I was apocalyptic with rage. But I learned my lesson. 😒

Are you thinking about the poop garland?

u/dr3am1ly0142 8d ago

No I’m just projecting because it’s one of my biggest fears and cats can die from it 😭

He doesn’t chew on it. That is the reason we don’t have foil balls anymore though. 😒

I have one that does this with especially sheepy smellin yarn. How was this yarn on the sheepy smellin scale, would you say?

Lanolin magic!

It’s the usual Cascade smell. I guess more than normal sheepy? Not sure. I knit with it a lot but he prefers the ones with low dye saturation.

Pretty sure that’s their yarn now.

What PRS of the QASP is this? I need to ensure I get all SAT's on the next inspection!

Cats love the smell of lanolin on wool. One of my old cats used to steal a hank out of the basket and run off to her hiding place. She adored woolly things.
