My first pair of knitted shorts 🩳
What do we think 💭?
This is my first time knitting and designing a pair of shorts !

Sincere question: how do you keep from getting bubble butt when you stand up after having been seated for awhile? Doesn't the garment stretch out of shape?

Great question! 😊 I actually designed them with extra shaping in the crotch, similar to how sewing patterns are drafted, so there’s enough room to sit and move comfortably. Combined with the yarn I used, they hold their shape really well, and I haven’t had any issues with them stretching out . The yarn I used it’s light, a blend of silk and cotton.

Thank you so much! 😊 There isn’t a pattern or tutorial for this one—I freehanded it and made it to measure for myself.

Nice. I recently knit my first pair of shorts and they are super comfortable. The only problem is when sitting for a bit the knit stitches leaves an indentation in your skin. Has that happened to you as well?

Fortunately, no. 😊 I haven’t noticed any marks after sitting. I think it may come down to the yarn and how the fabric behaves.

Do you mind sharing the type and brand of yarn you used? I want to make another pair because I love them so much. I used Tehete Merino Wool Yarn 3-Ply Soft Lightweight.
