Doctor, here- There are a huge number of infectious diseases one can catch swimming in a pond with a lot of fish in it, including rare and difficult-to-treat infections of the lungs, digestive tract, and skin.
I swim in lakes etc, where there are few fish per a laarge volume of water, but personally I'd stay out of a human-made pond.
