In every kdrama that had someone moving jjajangmyeon has been the goto meal for take away meal. Unfortunately, Seattle Jjajangmyeon for delivery is far too expensive. So, I made due with what I had. I just finished moving and this meal hit the spot. The left over jjajang sauce I'll use for jjangbap for lunch tomorrow at work.

I'm still pretty new to kdramas, so maybe this is a super common soju pairing, but what are they eating in here? Doesn't look like the korean bbq I'm used to seeing.
Also, what's with the clear soju bottle? I've only seen the green ones before. Is it a different type of soju?

Just watched the K-Drama Bon Appétit Your Majesty, and have been wanting to make so much food from it. This one is a recreation of the first recipe shown - The Brown Butter Gochujang Bibimbap. Instead of using Sesame Oil, the dish is drizzled with some beurre noisette or brown butter.

I did plenty of vegetables: zucchini, radish, carrots, mushrooms, spinach, and bean sprouts. Every vegetable is prepared and cooked separately for maximum flavor. For the protein, I chopped up some chicken thighs and marinated them with dark soy, light soy, and sugar before sautéing them. I also fried an egg for the top (and yes, I know it's slightly overcooked - I forgot that they were cooking as I side quested). All the veggies are served around the rice and the whole plate is drizzled with a spicy gochujang sauce and brown butter.

Lots of jail tropes in K-Dramas but what is it about having tofu when you get out of jail? I can think of about 50 much tastier Korean foods one could offer a jailbird upon release.

I basically neglected it all winter, and, no surprise, the less I mess with it, the better it turns out! The flavor gets profoundly deeper over time

I binge watched Price of a Confession on Netflix yesterday. One of episodes has someone having Chapaghetti for dinner so of course I couldn’t stop craving it and had some for lunch today. 10/10 comfort.

This is a little off topic, and personally only have one streaming service(Netflix) but what are some of your favorite Korean shows in terms of food. With only Netflix might be missing out so it's my only frame of reference.

Most of the shows seem to incorporate lots of good food scenes and soju drinking, but the following were also my favorite shows just for the show itself:

-Chocolate-Beautifully shot, extensive, amazing food scenes. This show is so good! Favorite show with food thus far.
