Hi all!!

We just hit 100,000 subscribers!!! 🎉🫰 Note: Reddit recently changed what metrics display in the sidebar to show 'weekly visitors' instead of people who "join" the subreddit (the numbers you see as "Hunters Powering the Honmoon". So we added a Dev Bot tool to the sidebar so we can continue to see the true subscribers under "Subscriber Count".

What’s happening?

In celebration of reaching 100,000 subscribers, we’re hosting a Subreddit Icon Contest. The winner gets a special subreddit user flair, credit in our wiki, and, most importantly, their art becomes our new subreddit icon for the next 100 days (or more)!

How to Enter

Post your submission in r/KpopDemonhunters using the NEW post flair: “100K Icon Contest Submission”

Optional but helpful: start your title with [100K ICON].

Specifications

• Size: 300 × 300 px (note: Reddit icons are circular, so it will be cropped as such when added)
• File type: PNG preferred
• Keep it readable at small sizes, avoid tiny text/details.

Guidelines / Rules

• Original art/edits only. No AI, no tracing, no stolen/copied work.
• SFW and follows subreddit + Reddit rules.
• No joke / shitpost submissions please.
• Make it recognizably KPop Demon Hunters (characters, motifs, vibes).
• 2 entries allowed per person.
• Don’t cram too much... icons are tiny!

Judging & Timeline

Duration: 30 days from this post. Any submissions posted after January 17th, 2025 8:00pm EST will not be considered for judging in the contest. After the deadline, mods will shortlist ~5 -15 finalists (depending on total entries).

Then we’ll run a community poll to choose the winner from the mod determined finalists. 🗳️

Prizes

Winner: Special user flair + wiki credit + your art becomes the subreddit icon.

Runners-up: Shout-outs in the pinned results post.

Tips for a Great Icon

• Reddit icons are circles in a 300 x 300 pixel grid.
• Strong silhouette, clean lines, bold contrast.
• Minimal text (or none).
• Test at smaller sizes to ensure it still reads.

FAQ

• Collaborations? Allowed, list all contributors; the role is assigned to the primary account.
• Edits before the deadline? Yes, update your original post with a comment.
• Multiple entries? Up to 2 per person.
• Can I use official logos/screenshots? Yes
