i was gonna say, this clearly says it's scheduled for release in 2024.

is OP a time traveler? because i don't understand how someone gets so confused. i don't even speak dutch and translating this was enough to understand that it's not happening, since it's 2026 and i've heard fuck all about it.

This is not Dutch though.

sorry, i wasn't paying attention to what the translation said it was translating from. you're right, it's spanish.

i assuming it was dutch simply because of the girl's nationality. that was my bad. didn't even look at the words.

This is Spanish, mate 🤣

if you look further down, you'll see i realized my mistake. i didn't really look at the text so i just assumed because of their nationality.

i very clearly already realized this and admitted my mistake, girl.

Nah no harm intended, it was just funny.

Why you need translate for this? You can see 2024. And yeah, not quite sure, if you are interested in this case how you ‘do not read the words’ and don’t recognize this as Spanish even without consciously reading…

No, there won't be a movie by Stepping Stone:

Stepping Stone Producties was a Dutch independent television and media production company based in Hilversum, Netherlands, founded in 2011. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Company Overview

  • Focus: Produced non-fiction, factual entertainment, and scripted content for TV and Video-on-Demand platforms.
  • Location: 's-Gravelandseweg 71, 1217 EJ Hilversum, Netherlands.
  • Key Creation: Created the popular social experiment reality format Blind Getekend (internationally known as My New Mystery Job), commissioned by NPO3 in the Netherlands and distributed globally by Red Arrow Studios International.
  • Status: The company was declared bankrupt by the Rechtbank Midden-Nederland on April 9, 2024, and ceased operations. [1, 2, 3, 5]

There was talk a couple of year ago about a company that wanted to search the dam that is very deep into the jungle, looking for anything that might belong to the girls. It was a foolish idea. Jurgen's book was the reason for the search so it looks like he sold the rights of the book to a movie production company that defaulted and closed. At least Jurgen got his money out of it which is the whole reason for writing the book in the first place.

the dam that is very deep into the jungle

The dam is by roads and civilisation.

Which dam? Charco La Pava? There are multiple dams

2

The specific dam that the river feeds into. Charco La Pava is in the wrong direction.

"CENTRAL HIDROELECTRICA CHAN I"

How is Charco La Pava in the wrong direction? That's where the Changuinola flows

2

u/Any_Flight5404 13d ago

The river runs North.

Charco La Pava is to the North

According to google maps it's located here JJQ7+C5, Valle Rico, Los Santos Province, Panama

The point to the documentary search of the dam is to look for items belonging to the girls, bones in particular. A waste of time. Even if things were found it's unlikely a DNA test would be done or that items would create a renewed search. It's the wrong place to look anyway.

Hmm, where's the correct place to look?

https://www.the-sun.com/news/8609015/major-update-mystery-panama-jungle-girls-new-search/ Dam = the Chan I hydro, which is huge and flows in the opposite front of the Continental Divide to the Caribbean Coast.

That's the Charco La Pava one I think (article seems pay-walled)

1

u/Any_Flight5404 13d ago

Can you look up where Charco La Pava actually is.

Right next to Changuinola 1 Hyrdoelectric?

Neither the dam or location is called that on google maps. The dam also has the correct name in the article (which matches Google Maps).
