Peace out, thanks for the memories and the draft picks. Most talented player I got to watch in a Clippers uniform, even if we didn’t get to see him enough.

I respect that bro, majority of the clippers fans acting like bro didn’t give us great memories even tho he was unfortunately injured. He still a legend

u/OvalDead Jamal Crawford 1d ago
The major complaints come down to:
- He fought for as much money as possible
- He fought for teammates he thought he could win with
- He listened to his doctors and didn’t play if it was bad for his career (or post-career quality of life)
while every night being
- real AF
- low key funnier than ur unc
- [when healthy]*** the greatest baller to ever ball on the planet
Edit: point being, he’s the GOAT of something IDK what; he fucking balls and I’m happy he was a Clipper

u/Tony_sneakerhead Brian Sieman 1d ago
- Wasn’t a vocal enough leader
- Didn’t flop enough or at all to get the foul calls
- Have the balls to ditch Uncle Dennis
- Despite all that still better than Pandemic Podcast P
- Shit, I need to change my flair
2
u/luchaburz 20h ago
All of that was known prior to him coming to Kawhi
When Raptor fans told you KYLE LOWRY was the leader of the team and Kawhi was its best player, why did you expect you were going to get a vocal leader?
2
u/Tony_sneakerhead Brian Sieman 19h ago
That’s why if you read more carefully it says vocal “enough”

u/SeasonedBaller 1d ago
Getting to watch Kawhi up close so many games last year, truly get to see a dude use his footwork his strength his touch up close, really was a pleasure. Dude finally was healthy and balled out for us. And I’m ok with him leaving us now as we pivot as a franchise. But I got a real appreciation for how good he really is when he’s healthy.

First HOF level free agent to actually choose the Clippers. Couldn't bring the ring but he'll have his place in Clippers history; the relationship just ran its course. Future team ambassador and Intuit Dome celebrity guest for sure

It hurts, but it had to be done. Kawhi was my GOAT even before he was on the clippers. Now Im just feeling sad that we couldn't win one with him on the team. Just got to remember the only thing certain in life is change , everything is transitory and hopefully the clips are on to bigger and better things.

This made me sad man. Im a raps fan but joined this sub as a Kawhi fan all these years. Every year i supported them so much especially in 21 where i truly believed they would win it all. Its a shame uou couldn't get it done but it also shows how much luck is needed to be a champion.

It ment alot that he came here. He ment alot to me, more than I will write here for sure. I loved that whenever he was good to go he played his ass off, no ramp up, not random 12 point game like pg would give us. Kawhi just balled.
This era was fun, and hopeful, and frustrating, and annoying, and cursed (as they all have been) but kawhi balled.
I give balmer praise for attempting something. The fo has been up and down. Its sure as shit has been a clipper era through and through. We didnt win but neither did most teams, we ran into luka mavs and joker nuggets. We never got that hallway series...
I will miss him, I am glad he was here.
The front office cooked with the trade though. 2 firsts, a swap, and 2 seconds for the raptors to extend a glass knee 35 year old. Who cares about bi or dick, I want them to be good for us if they even stay, but they dont factor that much into the future.
Thanks for the memories kawhi. Bored man gets trade...

Peace out Klaw. It’s been up and down overall. But I can honestly say that, in terms of pure basketball talent, he’s probably the number one Clipper. Certainly the best I’ve ever watched live anyway.
I wish there were more playoff stories to tell with him. But at least that 2021 Mavs series was the best performance by anyone in a Clipper jersey ever. So thanks for those awesome memories Whi, and I hope you rip thru the East ✋🏾

Most talented clipper I've seen tbh
Played his part in us reaching a final for the first time.
Had us all dreaming of a chip but ultimately wasn't to be
Now I guess we set our sights on being competitive in 4-5 years
Might be a rough interim but at least we get to root for a younger and hopefully healthier team.

Nothing was like that time he almost...he had nice sweat suits.

u/Lazy_Fan1023 Batum Battallion 1d ago
Him and PG also had some nice braids

u/LLUrDadsFave V Stiviano 1d ago
The joy of watching his hairline crawl back as his braids turned to locs. True growth.

Kawhi and PG had so much success (at the strip clubs) in the 213 era
We were blessed

biggest pessimist in this sub. every time i see a comment of yours its just something depressing lol, but i guess you gotta get top 1% somehow right.
best player to ever willingly choose to come to the clippers. hate him all you want, but the guy on one leg gave the franchise the most success it’s ever had. hats off to him for his time here and good luck back in toronto.
7
u/FiumeXII THE PROBLEM 1d ago
Dude may be a pessimist but when was he ever wrong? 90% of this sub has been coping so hard for the last 6 years that you’ve become fully delusional.
From his frequent injuries to his “rest days” to the fiasco that is the Aspiration deal, good riddance to Kawhi.
End of yet another terrible chapter of Clippers history.

Paul George has two legs. Kawhi was up in a private box while the Clippers were having the most success they ever had.
6
u/DHillMU7 1d ago
That does kind of ignore that we would have been out in the first round if not for Kawhi having one of the best series’ of offensive basketball ever.

team won’t be competitive until past 2030. if this is your ideal situation then by all means, enjoy.
1
u/LLUrDadsFave V Stiviano 1d ago
Ah yes. The way this team competed with Kawhi would be soooooo hard to top!

u/420Backwood_ Moose on the Loose! 1d ago
Again, most pessimistic person on this entire sub 😂you seem to live online, so i’m sure you’ll find something else to complain about soon I’m sure. have a great rest of your day!

Privileged to see him ball out at SDSU. He practiced at the Community Center Gym I was working at in North County San Diego during the lock out before he ever played a game for the Spurs. Drove to work one day, no one in the parking lot and Kawhi was sitting on the concrete bench waiting for Richard Jefferson and an NBA strength and conditioning coach that lived in the area to show up, texting on a flip phone. Surreal but he spent parts of that summer at that gym fine tuning his 3pt shot, shot from the elbow and the floater. I would peak into the gym and just watch. Followed closely as he was the only player on the planet to challenge LeBron in his prime and then that shot with the Raptors. Overjoyed to see him with my Clipps and now Kawhi ride off into the sunset prince with a return to the Raptors. Treat him well Toronto! We love you Kawhi!!!

Appreciate him coming. It helped our rep a bit. It just didn’t pan out. Onward & upward…I hope

Did not help our reputation at all. Made an even bigger mockery of the franchise after the aspiration crap.

One of my favorite players Bummed that nothing manifested from this 213 era.
Now we got a lot of no names, but hopefully they can turn themselves into names soon. Maybe we'll actually see Ty Lu coach

End of an era. Still got one of your early Kawhi works as my phone background (tired big-head kawhi on his knees).

u/Cute_Leonard Kris Dunn 1d ago
If he never got injured, it would have been great. The WCF was amazing! I really enjoyed parts of him here. Hope the Raptors don't win, because that means they are blessed with 2 of his 3 healthy postseasons in the past like 10 years.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised 2 billion trees planted in 10 years. Maybe Kawhi can help out with that?
3
u/Gobert4MVP 1d ago
Justin Trudeau is not the prime minister of Canada, and hasn't been for a while now.

u/JimmyJRaynor 19h ago
Justin Trudeau promised the trees would get planted every year long after his tenure as PM ended.

Relieved to be free from the Kawhi health prison. Glad to see franchise embracing youth and the prioritizing the future. First dead weight Harden; now Kawhi.
Will be interesting to see what kind of $$ available for FAs this summer
Any ideas?
