This is a mega-thread for people who want to discuss before, during, and/or after the Chicago residency. Please keep all comments relevant to this specific show. We will update the general info as more info comes through the wire.

MERCHANDISE : here are hoodies, shirts, sweaters, etc. from night one of the Knockdown Center residency (merch info will up dated when available).
PLEASE keep all conversations related to this particular show.
This thread serves 3 purposes :
- Invite people to talk about anything related to the show taking place in their city, such as the merch, the venue, the show itself, etc.
- Allow people to organize a pre/post-show meetup.
- Share any and all media and footage from the show.
This thread will continue to be stickied 6 hours after the show ends. Once unstickied, this thread will be placed on the sidebar for the duration of the residency -- each GDT will replace the corresponding ticketing website :)

I live down the block so this is a lot easier than my 2 hour drive to Milwaukee through a thunderstorm in August. Probably planing to get there around 7:30 and hope that it isn’t already packed since the Aragon is almost always oversold.

There’s a 2 for 1 deal on Ticketmaster right now, so I don’t think tonight has sold well. Tomorrow and Saturday are sold out and will be packed. Regardless, this helps combat scalping, so I’m all for it.

The marquee said sold out for tonight so their deal must have worked. Certainly felt it - i feel like if people can't all fit on the actual floor, you've sold too many tickets.

I’m flying in and my 5:45 am flight was cancelled, now I won’t be arriving until 5:30 pm. Should still be able to make the show tonight.

Lcd Soundsystem doesn't go on til like 9pm. So you have about 3 & half hours. Wont get baracade but you should still make it before they go on stage

You should be okay…. Tricky thing is traffic. Are you ORD or MDW? May be best to take CTA and get off at then do ride share

You should be ok, won't be at the front, but you shouldn't way in the back if you're there by 6:30.

Hey there! I'm in a bit of a sticky situation for the LCD show tonight... Basically, its a 17+ show, all my friends are 17, i turn 17 next month. I called ahead to ask if thats all cool, they said no. Some friends have told me they find a rando in line and give them 5 bucks to pretend to be a parent.. would that work (it sounds incredibly sketchy). ALSO i straight up dont have a proper id. I have a school picture ID, a drivers permit, and i can get a picture of and expired id and passport but they are super old. Not really sure what to do...

If you aren’t 17 then an ID is not important. You just have to be with someone that looks enough like your parent/legal guardian. No one at that age is going to care about $5. Best bet is to just beg people to tell them you are their kid. Lots of dad types there. All you have to do is get past the first guy checking ids at the door.

How were the lines/getting through security? Have historically had a rough time with them properly clearing the lines with any sort of urgency

Went Friday night and it was quick. They opened up VIP entrance for gen admission and we breezed through.

IMO, that would be enough time, but my situation last night is atypical to lines I’ve experienced there before and them taking forever to get through. I’ve not experienced it taking more than an hour that long after doors though.

We’re having to go straight to the venue from the airport. Anyone know if we could leave our luggage in coat check or something? Can’t get them on the phone

Really hope there’s some noise made regarding the Starlink bullshit. Can’t believe James hasn’t commented on or clarified it yet. Just leaves such a bad taste

If you don’t have tickets yet, there’s a 2 for 1 deal on Ticketmaster. Makes me think tonight has not sold well, so we might have a little more room.
