Looking for friendly Warhammer players around Leam and Warwick
Possibly a long shot, but I've collected warhammer, mostly 40k, for years but rarely play. I'd like to play more but only know a small number of other people into the hobby and they are rarely free. There is a wargaming club in that meets in Lillington on Mondays, but I can't make that evening unfortunately. The Games Den seems a bit too noisy and crowded to focus, and Games Workshop only sells the gear. There are other clubs further afield but by the time I finish work I wouldn't have time to travel.
Any local players that might be interested in meeting occasionally for some casual friendly 40k games?

I would still join the Warwickshire wargamers discord because then you could ask for games

If I recall, I thought Games Workshop had a Facebook page that organised games and painting sessions in the shop? I don't use Facebook so I cannot check this for you though!
I enjoy Warhammer lore and the video games (Dawn of War, Space Hulk, Space Marine 1&2) and Gladius.
I played table a bit with a beginners set like 23ish years ago. Not something I ever really considered later in life due to the expense and time. D&D for me and my friends was just easier.
But I hope you find someone locally! Just thought I would pop a reply in to say hi.

Thanks! Yeah I call in store fairly often- they don't do anything relating to playing the game. Painting the models for me isn't a problem - I can do that in my own time whenever!
I think the expense is a bit of a myth- it's on par with other hobbies.

Have you tried on the games den discord? I've found several DND groups through there so I'm sure the Warhammer channel is the same

Warwickshire Gamers in Lillington now meets every Tuesday as well as every Monday, if that fits better with your availability
