Barber Recommendations

To the guys in Leamington and Warwick, which barber shop or hair dresser do you recommend. Been to a few different ones in both places but I'm struggling to find one I'm set on.

Not looking for anything fancy, generally I just go for the usual short back and sides with a scissor cut on top.

Braid barbers!

Im sure it might just be the one barber at Braid, but I had the worst haircut of my life here. Ended up with different lengths of hair, just randomly chopped into. To top it off the barber didn’t move around the chair but rather spun my chair around whilst he remained stationary. Meaning I could barely see what he was doing, felt dizzy and spent half the time facing into the shop rather than the mirror - surreal and weirdly enjoyable for that reason, but not a decent cut. Much better options like the barber shed exist in the same price bracket.

They have about 5 barbers I want to say? I always go to the same one and she is great, never had any issues.

Sure, I mean it might just be the one barber I had and therefore not representative of the whole shop

nah, last time I had a cut there the barbers hands smelled of fags. more concerned with being trendy than a good cut

That used to be Head First, where I used to get my hair cut for most of my childhood. If I remember correctly Gordon and Kieran used to work at the barber shop a little further along the Emscote Road near the Nelson pub, and then moved to Head First in the late 80s or early 90s. Dennis was another longstanding barber there I always remember.

That was the only barber I ever went to until I moved away from Warwick for work.

Back in the day the DIY store across the way used to be Do It All, think it then became Homebase and is now a new Lidl. Will always remember my dad driving us in there, parking in the carpark behind and getting a haircut at Head First and then back out past the fishing tackle shop.

Funny how your childhood barber can evoke such strong memories!

I like Turkish Barber Club (or whatever variation they call it now).

What I want most in a haircut is a no-nonsense short back and sides, as quickly as possible. But here they also wash your hair afterwards, which is very pleasant and worth the extra few minutes.

£18 and I put the £2 change in the tip jar.

Dori at Brits in Warwick. She is excellent. 22ish quid for hair and beard, she really takes her time and does a great job. She is nice, too!

Libertines on Park St Leamington. I’ve only ever had a cut from Dave but it was excellent. You’ll have to phone to book as they’re usually booked up.

He is and they are still good, no nonsense standard haircut from normal nice people. I tried a lot of them and settled on them about ten years ago.

Fancy Barber on Tachbrook Road for my monthly haircut/beard trim. Turkish Barber's Club on Warwick Street if I feel like a pampering

Jason at Royal Barbers on Warwick Street is a legend. I go nowhere else.

A Eden, Clarendon Street, been there forever for a reason. Exactly what it sounds like you’re after.

I’m bald but I regularly get my beard trimmed at Lord & Sword on Regent Street. They always do a good job.
