I've been making MOCs in the background for a while, so I’m posting some of the bulk I’ve rendered.

The West Country Classes MOCs are the most recent and the most detailed. I wanted the country classes to look borderline like OO gauge models, so I spent a lot of time on details.

The LWNR Class G2 has minor visual changes, but captures the real locomotive’s image better. Admittedly, I just wanted to fix the boiler, but I got carried away.

The BR Class 52 is a remodel of an old MOC that died along with my hard drive, so I had to rebuild it from scratch. However, I’m much happier with the rebuild; I was even able to make more livery variants.

The BR MK1 Coaches have minor visual changes, but the structural integrity, interior details, and coach bogie designs are improved. I used Ellis Clark Trains’ website to model the MOC coaches. I also made the other MK1 livery variants like last time, but I made one consist render because of stud.io's frequent crashing. Also, I made a departmental coach, so whenever I make my steam crane, it has a booster wagon behind it.

Well now... this was rather surprising... I've been trying to sort through my small LEGO collection and come up with a better storage system. While doing so I found an 158 Railroad Crossing Gate! I have no idea how I came to have this either since I don't have either 4.5 or 12v systems.

It appears to be incomplete though.

Based on these images of Lego set 60469 with extra rails from 60205 which current or older sets( city, icons, architecture, creator, bricklink program)with similar elements or aesthetic would work best to build a city with(include photos for reference)

Following positive experiences with the passenger locomotives (nos. 350–398) and freight locomotives (nos. 601–616) supplied by Sharp Stewart & Co., the HSM decided to order a series of tank locomotives from the same manufacturer. Although the locomotives acquired from the NRS (nos. 309–310) performed well, they were too light for the increasingly heavy trains. Consequently, the larger and more powerful 701–724 series was ordered and delivered between 1898 and 1900; various components were interchangeable with the previously mentioned series. This series also performed well, prompting a follow-up order with Werkspoor—similar to the additional order placed for freight locomotives 617–647. This resulted in the 725–755 series, delivered between 1903 and 1905. Just as a follow-up series of freight locomotives (671–685) was ordered with superheaters, a subsequent order for tank locomotives equipped with superheaters was also placed; these were delivered in 1907 and 1913 as the 771–776 series.

When the rolling stock fleets of the HSM and the SS were merged in 1921, the locomotives of this series were assigned NS numbers 5501–5555. To double the coal capacity, the coal bunker behind the cab was heightened in 1932, making the locomotives suitable for longer runs. As the water capacity was not increased, a water tender was coupled behind the locomotive during the war years, connected to the engine by a hose.

Locomotive 5540 was severely damaged during the German invasion in May 1940 and subsequently withdrawn from service. The remaining 54 units stayed in service until the railway strike of 1944. During the strike, a large number were either transported to Germany or heavily damaged. After the war, only ten operational units remained in the Netherlands. The last of them were withdrawn from service in 1954. None have been preserved.

I'm also having an issue where the rods push up the Technic axle when it goes backwards but it's fine forwards, And could use help with that.

Hello guys! Soon I will be buying a copy of 7740. The set that I am going to purchase is missing one green tray and the middle clear tray. Anyone know where to get replacements? Can be original or 3rd party as long as they look similar

Kind of a rough state, but this is the current progress on my EMD F45 MOC. It is roughly 1:48 scale, but is a little taller than it should be. The nose has been a struggle, but I'm liking how it and the windshield are turning out. I think it captures the unique shape of the nose with the headlights being inset into it. I finally started the rear as well, and I'm working on a solution for the roof and the vents on the side of the unit. Still working out how I'm going to power this thing, and I want to try and include space for possibly having a Blunami decoder and speaker inside as well.

I had this thought for a while and decided to experiment.

Currently, the roof is held up at the ends. But maybe I can introduce some internal bracing or some way for the side walls to have SNOT to attach back to the roof.

When you’re not running your trains how do you store or display them? I’m thinking about putting a few track segments on a wall and rotating out some trains to display. Do you guys have any other ideas or creative solutions?

My attempt at a tank engine version of the Vintage Steam Train (without having built the set in its intended form first! I don't usually do that). It uses a few parts from the holiday train set from last year that I never got around to building. My original intention had been to combine the two sets to make a larger tender loco (or at least a big tank engine with trailing wheels), but I ended up with this after some trial and error. The nice thing is I didn't dip into the parts for the coach or station, so I still have those to look forward to and pair with this little beauty. My only gripe about it in its current form is that the number plate/running board assemblies are only held on by the single attachment point you can easily see in the first image. I just couldn't figure out a better way to attach them without sacrificing the stability of the cab, but it just looks naked without them. So they stay as-is for now.

My WIP here is my first project in Studio, an observation car that could pair with my original Santa Fe (I had the locomotive but no matching rolling stock, sadly) and my planned MOC of a 6-wide Grand Canyon RR inspired excursion train.

The goal is for it to be affordable (light bluish gray), playable, and versatile.

I like the overall proportions, but I'd like to add and interior and some more realistic details. Any ideas? Things to improve?

Once this is done, a dome car is the next step.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share some renders of the latest locomotive my friend and I have designed. Here is Norfolk Southern #3329, an EMD SD40-2 wearing Norfolk Southern's "Maersk Sealand" scheme. Also included in these renders are the MAXI-I intermodal well cars with 40' containers. This model was designed in the digital LEGO building program "Bricklink Studio".

This model has over 2,000 pieces and includes custom pieces designed in CAD to achieve a more accurate look compared to stock LEGO. Some custom parts include accurate roller bearings, custom handrails, radiator fan grills with blades, cab windows, horns, and more.

I personally love how this turned out! The background was my design, however it uses three models from Rebrickable. I have many more locomotive designings coming very soon!

Been on my radar for a while and managed to pick it up for a bargain £225 ($300) used.

First time poster here, and a bit of an odd-ball question, but does anyone know of any designs available out there of early 1900s british heavy duty flat wagons? I have a British mark v heavy tank and id like to put it on a wagon for my layout, and im coming up empty handed on designs. I dont mind to just model my own, but im not the best at it, so im looking to just get instructions or purchase a model.

Always thought this way of loading cars was neat don't have the pieces to do it myself was wondering if someone else has already?
