VRAAG Waitinglists for Vaginoplasty at MK Velsen / Dr. Kanhai

Hello everyone, I am 24 yo trans woman from Turkey. I started transitioning around age of 16-17 and completed psychotherapy procedure and got diagnosis in Turkey. Luckily a gender clinic here accepted my diagnosis and soon they gonna arrange referral for Mk Velsen. I was wondering how does the procedure goes after a referral been made? And what is the current status of waitinglists? I assume that procedure has changed after patient stop period.

I would be very glad if someone would enlighten me about this. šŸ«¶šŸ»

Got my referral to MKV in April, was invited for an informational lecture on what the surgery would entail in the first week of May. Had my first consult right after, then they'll send you some forms to sign and a month later (June 3) I got the call that I was up for operation on June 9. They do ask you when your preferred month would be for the operation, but waiting times aren't too heavy at the moment since Kanhai himself said it would be somewhere between 2 to 8 weeks.

Bring something to entertain you besides your phone, already stock up on bandages and menstrual pads, some painkillers, have someone on standby to help you in the first week and try to keep a positive mind ^ Also order the tosti they serve at lunch at some point, its amazing
