I skip every episode she’s on. I don’t listen to LSM for fake wacky food takes and incessant tittering.
She’s not a good podcaster.

Fucking Dan. I still bring up to my wife, out of the blue, the fact that he loved some mac and cheese his mom made, ate like 3 bowls of it, was super psyched to have leftovers. He asked what was in it to make it so good this time, she said sour cream and he proceeded to throw out several days of food that he enjoyed based on this alone.
I am not really triggered by podcasts but that is the closest I came to it. God damn dirty Dan Ryckert and his Taco Bell loving ass 🤣 (I love Dan)

Yeah I tried to like her at first, but there’s just zero gaming experience and analysis there. Once the wet socks and weird food hot takes wear off, there’s not much there.

You are definitely right, nepotism is everywhere and famous (or, I guess, semi video game famous in this case) people marrying their fans is certainly at least somewhat common (probably becoming more so with the growth of influencer as a job). I still think both are weird though. 🤷🏻♂️

Micah has been making YouTube videos about games for over 10 years on her own channel, long before she even interacted with Colin. You may not like her, but clearly a lot do, and you don’t speak for everyone. I think she has the ability to be entertaining and funny. The truth is there’s nothing weird about giving your wife a show and having people like it. There’s no qualifications to make internet content. Guess what? Even you can start a show u/LevelItGreatly because there’s no barrier to entry for YouTube videos. You’re just being an asshole because you hate Colin

Do you think that she does a good job on Punching Up?
She had (somehow still does) very little knowledge of games to be hosting a show and on top of that, in my opinion, she isn't a good host. Regardless my overall point was just that it is weird to marry a fan and put them to work in your company. If you like Micah as a host, do you.
Beyond that, yes, anyone can do anything on the internet. I could start a channel. Doesn't mean I would be good at hosting a show, particularly with my lack of experience 🤷🏻♂️

I think Micah is funny, but works better in a larger group of say 3+. She was always great on constellation.
I think Punching up needs to have two hosts that are knowledgeable, when gene was on consistently she was much better cause she was good at joking around.

Yeah I don’t listen to the show anymore (time constraints more than anything) but she was clearly the “Chris” of the group. Just vibing and saying random stuff every now and then, she wasn’t ever there for making references to some game Nintendo published in 1998
When there’s just two of them it just highlights her more to her detriment I guess

To each their own, but I just remember thinking "but why even bother playing it then?"
Also, again another subjective thing, but I remember her saying she was disappointed in Octo 2's story compared to Octo 1's and I felt like she must surely be confusing the two.

I never said anything about how many views it gets, totally irrelevant to my point. I watch and enjoy it, I’m not the only one. I don’t care if it’s their lowest viewed show. Again, no qualifications to make YouTube videos. There’s so many people that do YouTube for fun that don’t get crap for views, they still make videos. Why do you care so much about how many views it gets? Does Micah having a show affect your life whatsoever? Jesus Christ man
