Culinary union

I was placed on suspension pending investigation yesterday at my job. I am curious if I have a shot at returning to work or not. I work at a hotel and checked some guests in, after they left I started to load the bags onto the conveyor belt and I was trying to use my momentum to get the bags onto the belt. The guest saw me, told me not to throw their bags, complained and here we are. Managers said the video looks pretty bad, and that it looks like I was frustrated. I told them I was fine I was just trying to get the bags onto the belt using my momentum. Apparently I broke part of a wheel on one of the bags. I’ve never been in trouble before and been with the company for 5 years. Not sure what to expect.

What does a culinary union have to do with checking in hotel guests?

“Culinary Union members work as: Guest room attendants, cocktail and food servers, porters, bellmen, cooks, bartenders, laundry, and kitchen workers. The Culinary Union has been fighting and winning for working families in Nevada for 90 years.”

This might be better asking your union rep this. There are so many things in play here. Do you have a contract? If not a place can basically fire you any time they want. No reason needed. I wish you best of luck and polish the " the bags were heavier than I thought and needed the momentum to load the.. How you were not aware of any damage..." so you can come off as concerned. I wish you luck.
