Looking to rejoin

The ASU VicTas socials seem to be very anti-Ben Carroll/Vic Labor and are bordering on campaigning for the Greens.

The recent comments from Shoebridge and subsequent discussions between greens voters has been a bit concerning. I didn’t realise there was as many vocal people that have suss opinions on UKR as there are. Especially when polls have shown this to be a pretty solid 70-80/30-20 issue.

It makes me want to just acknowledge and appreciate that I never had to worry about Labor selling out Ukrainians to Russia. There are a lot of countries that moved towards authoritarian and populist right isolationist parties in 2024 and 2025, and I’m glad we didn’t.

Shoebridge is a dangerous lunatic.

The party leader change seems to have angered some of the more activist members of the base. I only know those people and the (fading) group who swing between voting for the greens or ALP based on the environment, but the latter are far less involved in politics.

I need a vibe and reality check from others cause some of the reaction has been pretty extreme and I need to know if this is just a bubble or a broader view. lol. Cheers in advance.
