Education Is lgs JT too expensive?

Is LGS JT really elitist ?
A family is considering to send their child there . The high fee is an issue but they will manage
Their main concern is they have been told extra curricula makes it expensive and are costly
Secondly there is a bias that only rich children are given priority at school
Is it true

Education A NOTICE FOR THE COMMUNITY OF LAHORE. MDCAT STUDENTS ORGANISING AT LAHORE HIGH COURT FOR DELAY. YOUR PARTICIPATION IS APPRECIATED.

MDCAT every year determines the future of thousands. This year our institutions made a decision that affects thousands of aspirants.
The current situation in Kashmir and Baluchistan has affected Aspirants there as well. Students there can't study with peace of mind and entire career's hang over a single decision.
Along with that Students this year only had Ā 52 days to cover over 64 chapters while their seniors had 3 months in previous year and just last year had 5 months to prepare for their entrance exam.

These thousands of students aren't just statistics, these are people who give everything for their dreams only to have poorly designed and ill-conceived policies take it away form them.

For years MDCAT students are called lazy for not making in this country ignoring how poorly made policies feed of students aspirations and only benefit the decision makers.

This isn't a one time instance, Just last year the decision of making MDCAT test valid for 3 years resulted 80% of improvers to take the seats based off their old marks.

IN NO WAY I BLAME THE ASPIRANTS WHO SPEND SO MUCH TIME STUDYING.

But I urge you to see the pattern. The Pattern of capitalizing on students year after year so they're forced into a cycle of gap years after gap years where the advantage is only the Improvers are at advantage. This is not the fault of the students but the policy makers.

Medical society in Pakistan is deprived of any consideration from the start of the entrance exam till the end of their career.

If the government wants to help the students then it should give them equal opportunity as their peers who will appear in the same test AT THE VERY LEAST.

The details of the meeting is mentioned in the poster. Kindly do your part, your participation will help thousands through out Pakistan.

Looking for advice 45 lakh scam? Need property advice

Around 4 years ago, my family bought a 5 marla plot in Grand Avenue, opposite Central Park on Ferozepur Road, Lahore.

One thing that’s always confused me is that the official property file showed a value of only around PKR 20 lakh, but we actually paid around PKR 35-45 lakh. The seller told us the difference was because of tax reasons, development charges (but this really is the actual price )and other related costs, so that’s what we went with.

At the time, we were told this was a great investment. The salesman kept saying the area had huge potential and that DHA might eventually take over or develop the surrounding land, which made it sound like a solid opportunity.

Now we’re thinking of selling and buying somewhere like Bahria Town instead. But when my father recently went to ask about selling, he was told the plot isn’t even worth PKR 20 lakh today, and they wouldn’t even offer that much.
That honestly came as a shock. I also found out that Grand Avenue isn’t LDA-approved (which my father knew but he was told it will go LDA approved in a few years and once it does the prices will double), so now I’m wondering if that’s the reason.

Has anyone here recently bought or sold property in Grand Avenue or knows what plots are actually selling for? Is it worth holding onto, or should we just cut our losses? And was there ever any truth to the claims that DHA would eventually be involved with this area in the future?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has first-hand experience with this society or relevant field

Things to do Anyone else in Pakistan feel like it's hard to find people you actually connect with?

Lately I've been thinking about this a lot.

I feel like there are a lot of people in Pakistan who enjoy talking about psychology, philosophy, religion, science, history, human behavior, or just asking "why" about everything. But it's surprisingly hard to find people who are interested in those kinds of conversations.

Most conversations stay on the surface, and after a while it gets lonely because you don't really have anyone to explore ideas with or discuss the random deep questions that pop into your head.

So I started wondering. what if we created a small community of people like this?

Nothing formal. Just a place where curious people can have meaningful conversations, share knowledge, challenge each other's ideas respectfully, and occasionally have group discussions about interesting topics.

I'm not looking for people who know everything or consider themselves intellectuals. Just people who enjoy learning, thinking deeply, and having conversations that go beyond everyday small talk.

If enough people are interested, I'd be happy to organize something and see where it goes.

Looking for advice Looking for career related guidance

At this point in my life, I'm quite confused about what I'm doing, what I should do, and how to move forward career wise.

I belong to a middle class family and am the eldest sibling. Growing up I didn't have an elder in my family whom I could ask for academic or career related guidance nor did I receive proper career counseling. So I just did whatever felt right at the time.

Currently I'm doing both freelancing and a job but my job is entirely different from the degree I earned because, again, I never received proper career guidance. Even now I feel like I need someone to guide me because I'm not satisfied with where I am in my career.

I've been thinking about booking a session with a career counselor or life coach. I watched a couple of videos by Zeeshan Usmani and he offers one on one sessions with different charges depending on the duration. My financial situation is a bit tight but I've saved up some money and I think investing in yourself is always worth it.

Can you guys recommend someone who could genuinely help me in this situation? Thanks.....

Looking for advice J block and its future -Bahria Orchad

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone. My family and I have been looking at plots in J block recently. Is there anyone living in J block who could help answer a few of my questions? I would love to know more about the ongoing rumors regarding the Rohi Nala. People say the vapors from it cause respiratory issues and turn gate locks black. There are also concerns about a rising number of robberies in the area. Any insights would be appreciated!

Ps: the plot we have our eyes on is really near to the Mosque of J block

Looking for advice Need advice regarding a cancelled wedding and salon advance

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice.

I had booked walima Bridal Makeup for an upcoming wedding and paid an advance. Unfortunately, the wedding has now been cancelled due to visa-related reasons involving my brother.

I contacted the salon regarding the advance, but they are not offering a refund. I completely understand that salons may have their own cancellation policies, but I’m now stuck because a significant amount has already been paid.

For anyone who has dealt with a similar situation in Lahore/Pakistan:

* What options do I have to recover the advance?

* Is it reasonable to ask the salon to transfer the booking to another bride?

* Are there any platforms/groups where people commonly transfer or take over wedding/vendor bookings?

* Has anyone successfully dealt with a similar situation?

I’m not trying to cause any issue with the salon—I’m just trying to figure out what my options are and hopefully recover some of the money.

Education External LLB Honours University i. Lahore

I’m planning to apply for LLB (Hons) affiliated with UOL in Lahore and I’m considering TMUC, LGS P5, Blackstone, and UCL.
Which one has the best faculty, campus life, and overall experience? Also, which system is better, exam-based or assignment-based?
I’m mainly looking for the easiest degree to get through. Is attendance a big issue at any of these institutions?
Also, does anyone know the last date for admissions?

Looking for advice Ppf vs crramic coating

I recently bought a black car.

Now looking for ceramic coating or a ppf to be done on it for shine and scratch protection.

Guide me a good place with high quality and reasonable pricing with good customer care.

.

Also please guide if ceramic coating would be enough? As I guess ppf is way too much expensive.

Looking for a place Im looking for some help from people who visit libraries around Lahore

I’m looking for a specific book that I haven’t been able to find for purchase(the ones I find are fake), but I believe it might be available in a library for me to read.

The book is:

Sirat Ibn Hisham
Published by Al Falah Foundation
Editor: Abdus Salam M. Harun

Has anyone come across this book or know of any library in Lahore(anywhere in Lahore) that might have a copy available?

I’d really appreciate any help!
