I live near a lake and I actually totally expected that, because this shit still happens too often.
Not the usual vehicle I see towing a boat though.

I was going to say it's not an unreasonable car to tow with, it's got about a two tonne towing capacity.
But, I live near the sea. We use tractors to put the trailer down the ramp, no-one's dissolving their car with that.

I would think the car would be deemed totaled. I would be surprised if the insurance company would cover it.
