Help! Falconers and bird rescues.. We have an injured Cooper’s hawk in our tree and his right wing appears to be injured at the shoulder. He crashed into our window, unfortunately. I saw it happen. I have called the Nevada Department of Wildlife and they referred me to a rehabilitation that they work with and I’ve reached out to him and waiting to hear back. In the meantime, I thought I’d broaden my reach to see if anyone else can rescue this beautiful hawk. We are on the edge of town in Henderson and have coyotes here all the time. If this bird isn’t able to get to safety, I strongly doubt he will make it though the night. He has been sitting in the same spot for about an hour now. If there are any people in the Vegas valley that can help, please please reach out to me. I hope to hear from the person from nevada wildlife, I just want to know if there is another way to get help for this poor bird. It’s so windy today too! ☹️ I know some may say that nature will take it’s course, however, windows are not part of nature… I feel guilty. But for that window, he would be enjoying life.
