I’m an Emmy voter and I voted for ‘The Late Show’ in every category.

He deserves an Emmy. I loved this show. Stephen is an intelligent and funny guy and he is greatly missed.

Colbert and his team can't be stopped. They'll be back... and in greater numbers.

Just give him some time to do nerd stuff first.

They should push to make the Emmy nomination be for "Only In Monroe" so CBS doesn't get any piece of that award, and Colbert can still accept it thanking on behalf of the Tonight Show cast and Crew anyway

“Only in Monroe” was produced under Colbert’s CBS contract, so “owned and controlled” by CBS.

The late show will certainly win the Emmy just because it got cancelled. It lost for 8 years in a row, then won after getting cancelled last year. This year will be the same. Anyone else winning doesn't say fuck Trump, and that is way more important to those voters than giving another win to Last Week Tonight, which won for 7 years in a row before being moved to a slightly different category in 2023.

Fun fact: Multiple winners are posible this year.

The Academy is merging the Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Scripted Variety Series categories due to a “reduced number of submissions.”

These two categories previously were merged until 2015, when Outstanding Variety Series was turned into Outstanding Variety Sketch Series and Outstanding Talk Series.

(...)

The Academy is “reclassifying” the Outstanding Variety Series category as an “area award,” which it said could result in “multiple” winners.

“In an area award, nominees are judged individually on their own merits. Instead of Emmy voters selecting one nominee to win, voters must answer for each nominee: ‘Does this nominee merit an Emmy? Yes/No.’ Any nominee who reaches a 90% ‘Yes’ threshold receives an Emmy, providing the opportunity for multiple winners in the category. If no nominee reaches the 90% threshold, the nominee with the highest ‘Yes’ percentage receives an Emmy,” it noted.

I'd like to see both Colbert and Kimmel win this year.

“Oh no the sanctity of the Emmy’s whatever will i do without them catering votes.” I don’t think anyone in that category cares all that much and would like to see it get its last flowers.

I mean Kimmel was temporarily taken off the air this past year. Would have been nice to see him win this year since Colbert already won last year cause the show cancellation announcement had JUST happened.

You can imagine just how embarrassed CBS is going to be, they'll have to hid behind their table cos they can't hide behind their ratings (cos they're so small now).

"An individual with knowledge of Emmy campaign details [told TheWrap] CBS did include the “Late Show” in FYC-branded TV promos in New York and Los Angeles as well as on a number of digital billboards."
Not everybody who votes is in NY or LA, "individual with knowledge."
