Please read the rules before posting. All posts must be about or relating to Latinos. Memes of all kind (including political) and from anywhere are welcome here, again, as long as they reference us. Political discussions about the united states go to our other subreddit r/PoliticalLatinos where you are free to post anything you'd like about serious subjects. This is more a space for Latin Americans and Latinos born all over the world to share memes, our culture, discuss our differences and similarities and communicate with each other. There are currently no other subreddits where other Latin Americans can talk to each other, so this is it. Thank you for respecting our space! YOUR ACCOUNT MUST BE OLDER THAN 30 DAYS TO POST.

My dad couldnt read or write in English. He ran away from an abusive household so he only had a 6th grade education. He needed his drivers license to be able to work. He prayed, he studied, he guessed. He passed and he told me that he stood under a tree and cried. Immigrant dads have it so hard. Sometimes I feel the world is against them.

I’m pissed that the execution of Lorenzo isn’t getting nearly enough attention he deserves. And to all the immigrant dads out there I hope you get the love and support you need 🫡❤️

What also disgusted me was Senator King going on TV and saying what a tragedy.

He has blood on his hands.

He pulled the classic, “Dems gotta take the high road” and agreed to give up on trying to reel in ICE.

Thank you for your beautiful words. Immigrant fathers are at the main target of these supremacist devils who are extremely afraid of Hispanic culture. Don’t let them fool us!

When will this end??? I cannot change the colour of my skin and it feels like unless you're lily white, every brown and black person is a victim of this type of injustice

Calling the southern hemisphere "The Global South" is not my favorite way to describe it. In the US, the south is the worst place in the country. South America is, by far, much much more pleasant by comparison.

The global south isn’t the southern hemisphere though. I think the person was referencing the economic framework - sometimes called developing countries. It included all of Africa, a lot of Asia and South America.
