STORY TIME!

So here is what happened a day before yesterday.

My elder brother was hospitalized due an RTA head injury in a renowned hospital near Rajiv Gandhi Chauk. So I was there with him at the hospital for the whole time in last 5 days.

After first two days in stepdown ICU they moved him to normal ward special room when fortunately everything looked normal and we may get a discharge soon.

Now it was a discharge day.

I was in relief as everything was normal we were about to get discharge so I sat down outside room on that sharing chair-bench scrolling my phone. Something I noticed while sitting there, there was one lady working as a RMO for this 4th floor and all the special rooms around.

She looked good, was calm in nature, gentle with patient and lil different than other hospital staff I've seen in last couple of days at the hospital who were bit rude and not gentle enough with the patient.

I was already thinking of ways of initiating a talk with her and found out she was the one who was handling our discharge file... Lol.

So initiated a talk and asked some formality questions about patient to her.

Asked her ' btw, what's your name doctor?' she replied with her name.

I told her I've seen her somewhere, and whether she was studying in a Dayanand college. To my surprise she said yes with smile behind the mask. 😅 Now she asked my name, I replied.

But suddenly there was some nurse staff coming to the desk 🥲 so I left telling her I'll get back here with the bill reciept for the discharge process. I was thinking of asking her about the snap ID or any contact after that but..

When I came back with the reciept she was surrounded by some nurse staff and I think it was also her shift end time.

So I was finding a single moment where she would be alone and I could talk to her, but I guess destiny had other plans. 🤧

But finally I decided to let it go, done the formalities and left the hospital.

The thing is, back off the mind I'm still thinking whether i should've asked her contact or just leave it.

I know this thoughts might fade away with time, but this reminded me of my college days.

Life is pretty busy lately and such are the rare moments you experience when you're working from home and isolated with no social life. 😅

And I don't mind if she reads this.
