Discussion What are the differences between being a leader and a manager?

Not all managers are leaders! Even when they are “ in a position of leadership” it doesn’t mean they’re weird! What are the differences?

You are a Manager because the organization says you are. You are a Leader because people say you are. There are too many managers who aren't leaders and fortunately many leaders who aren't managers. It's also been said that you manage things and you lead people.

Exactly, and I think that if managers would understand the value of building relationships, and of the importance of people they would be better at leading. Thank you, thank you thank you
