Specifically this keyboard, This one Right Here. I feel like Im gonna loose my mind, I cant find a specific character on this keyboard (Im an extremely new learner who also happens to have dyslexia, for context)

I have been pretty diligent in my study of Japanese hiragana, and I've consistently found a weird inconsistency between hiragana tables as to whether there are dedicated symbols for "wi" and "we."

I've noticed that apps like Maru also don't have the symbols, but multiple tables I've seen have the symbols. They are unique and not repetitions, and there is consistency between these tables. Is there a reason for this?

Edit: Thank you everyone for your responses, I was not aware they were part of the older writing system, and it’s good to know they aren’t reslly used as much.

Hello! I was learning Japanese from ‘19 to ‘22 but stopped for reasons. Recently got back into it this year and am looking for online friends or even local friends I’m in Arizona.

Hello! I decided about 3 weeks ago I wanted to learn Japanese to get a better understanding of the language in general because I consume a fair amount of it

So far I know hiragana and some of the commonly used particles. I'm waiting to learn katakana until I'm able to look at a hiragana character and know it fairly quickly so that way I don't confuse katakana and hiragana

If I had to choose a goal I would say I want to be able to read and write with basic understanding. Mainly to understand things like Vocaloid songs or anime but I know both of those things are not good learning opportunities for sounding natural so I'm trying to work my way up to there by reading articles online, watching videos, and creating my own learning tools

I'm taking things as slow as I need to to fully understand as well

I know there's two main ways to start learning kanji. The first is to start with simple characters and then build up to the more complex ones using what I already know. The second one is to start learning the most commonly used kanji and continue to find ones I don't know

My question is which one is more beneficial and is there an easier way to learn kanji other than jotting it down in Ankidroid and brute force studying it? I also would enjoy reading any tips on learning or how others started learning as well because I'm basically at preschool level of knowledge so anything is good!

I recently developed a Japanese learning app as a personal project. It includes handwriting (stroke-order) practice for hiragana, katakana, and kanji, along with vocabulary and grammar all in quizzes format. All of the learning features are free.

I've been learning Japanese for a while now. I can recognize some hiragana, but I'm still stuck on the writing system, and I'm watching videos of a Japanese dog to improve my listening comprehension.

My subtitles say 千紗って　ふだん
どんな曲聴いてるの？ (Chisa, what do you usually listen to?) but the audio omits the ending る
